For all you global warming crowd, what is the Ozone made of??? What does a volcano do the earths atmosphere?

Well, first off, let's put things in perspective.
The technology in the 1970's, when the "Next Ice Age" theory was being cooked up was closer to 1940 than to now. Let's face it, they were using punch card computers to do calculations and very, very innacurate (by today's standards) equipment. Also, let's not forget, that while there were some scientists predicting an ice age, the majority of scientists were still talking about global warming as early as the late sixties.
Just because a few scientists were wrong thirty years ago, doesn't make them wrong now.
How about the fact that the ice is melting as much as three weeks earlier in Greenland? Wreaking havoc with migratory birds because the larval insects which come out when the ice melts, hatch three weeks earlier.
Is global warming caused by man? That's still up for debate. Fair enough.
Is global warming occuring? Well, that's pretty much a given now.
