Huh? Sorry, didn't understand that. Pardon?? Umm, I don't want to sleep with another man because I'm not gay. EXACTLY!!!So why say is lawful to have gay marriage if you yourself are against what they do to set them apart! Nothing to differenciate about. And that was not your original question. Anywho, my answer is this: Being MARRIED to the same sex has always been wrong in the sight of God, the Founding Fathers, and morallity in itself. having sex is with a same sex partner is NOT NATUAL. Now if your going to say that all shoud be happy, fine. But the point your missing is that YOu know its wrong, I know its wrong, so why aurgue?

As a point the Greeks praticed homosexuality quite regularly as did their neighbours
Also don't you think that if your going to Bible bash on this issue that you should address the violations of the 10 Commandments committed in your country before the violations of more minor commandments?

As a point the Greeks praticed homosexuality quite regularly as did their neighbours Let me see: your saying that because a DEAD society practiced homosexuality over 2000 years ago that we should also. And because they accepted it that we should? I agree to a point. By trying to hold onto out morals and ideals, that is what makes or breaks a civilization.I never have or will say that we are perfect.

I can't speak for Hussar, but I see sexual preference as somethign akin to taste in regards to what sort of music or movies or food one likes.
Some things I might not go for personally, but I do not believe that makes all who like something different wrong. If you like brocoli and I don't we can agree to disagree. Why should the case be different for tastes in sexual matters?

If you what to have relationships with the same sex. It really doesn't matter to me.
In this country untill the laws are changed it's not legal to marry the same sex. Because most of the people disagree with the idea.

Ahh, thank you for finally chiming in khyron1144. As for the homosexual issue, its just plain wrong. If it was not, why all the hiding until recently?? My internet access is a bit sporadic. My point, if I have one, is that no one should be a final arbiter in moral issues. No one should be able to say anything is just plain wrong. Not you. Not your version of God. Not even me and my God. Why all the hiding? Because society is always a bit dumb and doesn't accept others for what they are. My answer is that it rarely does. People are stupid. Trying to put them more in charge doesn't work out well. Of course, monarchs and dictators are people too and just as likely to be stupid. I suppose that's why I have some affection for anarchism. Every other system in the world's history is at least as broken.

The fact you cannot come up with a better way doesn't change the fact there seems to be something 'wrong' with a system that puts equal worth on the views of any two people regardless of their fittness to hold that particular view.
Personaly I believe that putting more power into the hands of the people is the right way to do it. But I tend to agree with 19th century politicians, that the electorate has to be educated for 'one man one vote' to work satisfactory.
Simple fact is I image everyone here knows atleast one person whos opinions make the fact he can vote very scary.

What did I tell you before? Is it perfect? NO!! But it the best so far...
But Democaracy must be good because,
Winston Churchill said: "Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others that have been tried."
Churchill was right.
Democracy is our best hope. Democratic nations wage peace with one another, not war. Democratic nations protect freedom, they don't crush it.
There's good news on the democracy front.
According to Freedom House, in 1984 there were 53 "free" countries; today there are 89.
In the past year alone, Afghans voted in their first free elections. And who can forget Ukrainians challenging a rigged election and prevailing?
