This was a great series. It went more indepth with the Robin Hood legend, introduced the idea of Paganism during that era, and dealt with the entire era in a more realistic manner overall.

Darn! I missed that one - and it looks like something I would like.... On the same theme (Robin Hood) did you ever see any of the short lived tv series; 'When Things Were Rotten'? Quite bad in some ways, (by Mel Brooks) in other ways it was fun - in a very silly way! Movie wise Robin Hood ? (After the multitude of versions released that I have seen) I still find for me the definitive version to be the old 'Errol Flynn' movie. On Kevin Costners.... newer version? *wince* Kill Robin!!! I root for the sheriff!!!!

I saw some of the Robin of Sherwood series, in fact a friend of mine was an extra in several episodes (just a girl at the time).
I wish I'd caught more of it than I did. What I saw was quality dark mytholigical fantasy. Something of rare quality.
