According to SaveFarscape.com the efforts that we the fans had put in was not in vain. It is coming back for a minimum of 4 hours.. depending on the ratings, it could conceivably be back to a full show..

WOO HOO! ;D I don't know anyone who has watched Farscape and hasn't become a fan (well, as long as they have a tendency to like sci fi, that is). If you ask me, the SciFi channel made a big mistake letting this one go. I wouldn't even mind if it was just the miniseries, as long as they put some sort of ending to it. I hated more than anything that they just said, "you know what, we're not gonna make any more episodes" and just left the plot hanging like that. And I really wish they started selling the DVDs by season rather than episode. My wallet isn't all that deep.

Well count me as the first on your list Im not a fan. No matter what I just couldn't get into the show. I have mixed feelings about most of the characters. Crichton and Aeryn are so-so and Rygel would be cool if not for the muppet factor. Probably the only character that really doesn't bother me too much is Zhaan, the blue chick. The character I loathe the most is squid-man. I dont even care to remember his name. JSUN

Okay, that's one. I don't even know why I love the show, I just do. I started watching it when my bf (now ex) refused to do anything on Fridays at 9. I wanted to see what this show was that was so important. And I got hooked. I think one of the things I like about it is that Chriton is actually from present-day earth so he is looking at everything from the same perpective as we are. I love his inside jokes that nobody on Moya gets but the viewers understand perfectly. Also is the fact that everyone seems to be so much more skilled or stronger or smarter than Chriton, but he always ends up getting the upper hand. The triumphs of the little guy and the human spirit. And the whole universe is just so rich with history and politics and culture. It's all so wierd and fascinating. I love the fact that the ship is alive (though I know its been done before). Talyn (the ship's son) was actually one of my favorite characters. You have a right to your opinion. I just think the show is awesome.

On top of that, the show is rife with Sexual innuendo, outright assualts of humour and a chemistry between the actors that acts as a catalyst to the scipt. The John/Aeryn relationship has long been a vexing and comic look at love amongst the stars.. She's from a society that minimalizes the romance and maximizes the beleif in "Recreation" as nothing more than that. He on the other hand.. well as was said, he is from USA circa 20th & 21st Centuries. It took him 2 seasons to get Aeryn to warm up.. then she cooled off again.. then warmed up again.. (to a copy of John) and then she tells the acutal John that she's pregnant. Leaving our hero to deal with the potential that it could be his, the other John's (who by this time had expired due to radiation poisoning) or possibly someone elses entirely,, (as Sebacean women can keep the fetus in stasis for up to 7 years) Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun) is priceless.. In an episode titled "Out of their Minds" she was required to behave as if John was inhabiting her body after the ship was hit by an alien weapon.. and her consciousness was in Rygel.. So She went through the motions of playing out the likely senerios of "Checking out the new digs" as it were.. I for one was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe.. and then there is the classic "Revenging Angel" in which D'Argo (JSun's Squid guy ) had a fit of hyper rage and decked John putting him in a coma... Whilst in the coma.. It cuts to John trying to solve his issues with what D"Argo had done to him by reverting to Looney Tunes type logic... repleate with D'Argo ordering weapons from ACME a'la Wiley Coyote. (With Like results... ) The Humour value alone is enough of a reason to check out the show.. but the show is probably the most engaging piece of Sci FI to have come down the line... It is better than Star Trek and it's constant bombardment of "WE CAN'T DO THAT.. IT'S AGAINST THE PRIME DIRECTIVE" I for one am so glad that Patrick Stewart has moved on to X-Men, and put Trek in the past.. but that's me.. It's infiniately better than SG-1 that has completely lost my support as a viable show.. it has fallen to "Which alien is pretending to be an ancient god, this week?" and is based off of a marginal at best movie. Not to mention they should have left that bozo Jackson dead.. . anywho.. there is a shortage of Quality Sci Fi on tv these days.. I mean.. lets see... Smallville, Charmed, Angel, [shadow=Blue,left,300]Andromeda[/shadow]Wow.. Shorter list than I thought.. I for one eagerly await the return of Farscape... and I hope they keep it for many years to come...

I agree with everything you say Regrix except one thing. Angel and Charmed are hardly science fiction. There have been extremely few sf shows on that are even remotely worthy of the name.
Most are bad space opera with a large dollop of cheese. Andromeda anyone? Earth Final Conflict?
It would be nice, just once, for someone who produces science fiction to actually have the smallest bloody clue about science. It's brutal. These shows all follow the same formula which is Gunsmoke. I have yet to see a decent SCIENCE fiction. 99% of these shows are brainless, mindless, spineless melodramas and morality plays. Mexican Soap Operas with slightly worse acting.

They're both "copies", and both the original! Sorry, I just had to say that. Somehow when Chriton got "twinned" I knew Aeryn was gonna fall in love with one of the Chritons, who would then die or leave or whatever, and then she would think the other was a copy. It was a great way of giving the viewers what we want (a relationship between the two) and yet maintaining the sexual tension, because we all know when they finally get together for real the show will be over. Oh, and watching him play rock-scissor-paper with himself and tying every time was priceless.

D'OH!!!!! Apologies... Though in my defense,as they are not airing the show currently...you'd have been wondering where they were.. You likely won't see it before the new stuff

I was just kidding. What you said wasn't much of a spoiler since I have no idea how or why they got into that situation. And I'm sure when I am able to watch the show again that I'll have to start in the middle and figure out what's going on... but I'm good at that. The way things are going, though, I might not get to watch it until it's been officially ended. BTW, anyone know where this miniseries is going to be aired? Is it still on SciFi, or did another network buy it? I was hoping it would be bought by UPN since I can get that network.
