"Oh, what a fine speeach. But you have really proven nothing. I still have only your word that we have been played false. You have done nothing but talk."
Kur'Oyi rubbed his chin and appraised the human. "You seem to know so much about our situation, which says to me that you knew we were coming here, and why. If we were played so falsely, human, why the big charade of ambushing us? Why not come out straight to us and discuss your opinion as a reasonable being would? No, instead you capture us, risking the lives of everyone involved for some big show. Your lucky Arrkay was the one who met your two guards, for if it was me, I would have killed them where they stood, in honorable combat."
He now pointed a finger at Makina. "YOU are as big a deceiver as what you claim Byrg and Borke are! You claim that I must choose one side over another, but so far, you have shown me that there is no difference between one or the other."

"Kur'Oyi, I am a Jedi.. that much is obvious.. I would know if the Ambassador was lying.. As it stands I am not sensing any deception from him.
I am also very familiar with Borke's rep.. He'd sell his own mother to a Hutt if he thought he could make enough credits on the deal. Why do you suppose he lets me sit there and stir up trouble with cheating sabbacc players.. because I help keep the spacers he gave bad information to at bay.
Though I think I have an idea to test out Borke's varacity.. With the aid of a little mind trick... " *wide grin*

"Really? No sense of falseness about him? None at all? Then what kind of a politician is he?"
Kur'Oyi shook his head in the negative. "It matters not, this man has still deceived you all. He KNEW we were coming, and that's proven by his complete knowledge of our situation. He's created this sceanario to make us all beholden to him, greateful that he will let us go if we just 'do this one small favor for him.' " "He also thinks he knows so much about my race and beliefs. He assumes I can just shrug off my code that I live by whenever it suits me, but that is NOT the way a Coynite lives."
Kur'Oyi stands tall, his chest slightly thrust forward, trying to strike an imposing figure. "I cannot go against my code, it is everything to me. I will not involve myself in any action against Borke. You will have to go on without me."

You are right of course Kur'Oyi. He knew we were coming, because I told him so.
I am an agent of the New Republic. I was sent here months ago to investigate Byrg.
My ship was confiscated upon arrival for carrying a cargo I could not afford the taxes on either. It now resides at Byrg's mansion as his personal transport.
Yet somehow, the "special" cargo I was carrying still found it's way to Borke. That is how we know they are in league.
The reason for this show, was to keep Borke and Byrg in the dark that we know about them. We needed the proof that the two of them were after secrets of the New Republic. Simply telling you about it then would have done no good. You needed your ship back and quite obviously were willing to do whatever it took to get it. Why else would you have even considered breaking in to a New Republic Embassy.
As to what kind of politician my friend is.....are the leaders of your homeworld know for their deception in politics? I don't think so, your code would prevent any such problems. Then, why assume that another can not be as honest, just because of their job?
I understand most of your problems. But, if he was lying, which I know he wasn't. Why bother giving you all back your weapons? Why not just use the info I gave him to capture you all and throw you in the brig, as I am sure Borke wanted.
According to the watcher, an R2 unit of mine, at Borke's place, the minute we entered this building, Borke left his and went directly to your ship. I would assume he's already retrieved his cargo from it and is on his way to sell it.
You can watch the holo display yourself. The watcher lost him shortly after he left the docking pad where your ship is located. I hadn't counted on the number of folks running around that area when I set the R2 to this task.
If that's not enough, then by all means, we can go to your ship on the way to arrest the governor. As I recall, you are not banned from it, just required to have one or two of the guards enter with you. The same as I was.

Kur'Oyi screwed up his face as he looked at Trask.
"You misunderstand. And I am tired of explaing this to you. I have said my peace. I cannot go on with you. It is against my code. I will not break it, no matter what your reasoning may be." Kur'Oyi stood firm.

I think you've misunderstood. I don't recall you ever saying you've given your word to Tegist Byrg or performed any action that could be concieved as sratt in his name.
You have never even seen the man. So how is it that you can say you can't turn on someone you've never worked for.
Perhaps you've misunderstood the nature of the relationship between Borke and Byrg? The one doesn't work for the other. They are more like friends doing each other favors.
However, should you, for any reason, wish to avoid the upcoming battle, feel free to do so.

Kur'Oyi. I have been standing here, quietly listening to you and Makina bantering back and forth. You keep siting your En'Tra'Sol as reason for you to leave this combat. But according to your own En'Tra'Sol, by avoiding this challenge, you brand yourself af'harl. You've claimed you have sratt with Borke, and since you accepted his mission to sneak into a facility and steal someone elese's property, perhaps you are an af'harl after all. IF, however, you only came along because of your loyalty to Taleus and to protect your friend, then you have not "accepted" Borke's mission and only came along for your own reasons of honor and loyalty to your shipmate. IF this is the case then you have no sratt with Borke, and I find it hard to believe you'd give your sratt that you would do something as cowardly as break into a closed facility and steal from it.
You see, you and Taleus have a bond of friendship. You came along reluctantly only to protect your friend.
But, if you choose to go your own way here and leave him to go and fight the Imperial sympathizer and his troops by himself. Then what does that make you?
If you choose to leave, then all I have to say is....

Kur'Oyi says nothing, and stands with his arms folded. He appears as if he is not listening.

Taelus walks over to Kui'Oyi and speaks in a quite voice. If you look at our situation we either go along with the ambassador, for now, or sit in a detenion cell. I had a feeling Borke would try something. I agree with you on honor but how do you treat someone who doesn't act with honor. Our part was to deliver something to Borke, we did that. He forced us into doing something more. I believe I would like the repaid Borke with the same actions he shown us. Plus there maybe a chance we could profit from this. The NR has enemies here and there and will need people who specialize in certain things. What do you think?

Kur'Oyi bends down to talk to Taelus privately. "I am sorry my friend, but I can not go back on a point of honor, even against someone who is NOT honorable back to me. That lowers myself down to their own level. It makes me as bad as them. I treat someone who has no honor just as I would treat you, because that is who I am, what I was raised to be."
"I cannot go on this particular mission. I have explained to them that I cannot do this for honor's sake, yet they still persist in trying to make me break my En'Tra'Sol. The more they insist, the more I begin to wonder WHY they are so insistent. If he was as honorable as he says he is, this human would understand that, or if he still could not, he would at least respect my own wishes."
"This man must have many warriors that he can rely on. Why, look at all the warriors he called upon to ambush us, when he just wanted us to WORK for him? Those are not the actions of an honorable man. He knew our circumstances, and why we were doing this. Which is why he says he picked us to help him. Yet he still ambushes us with armed men, and then says he is our friend. That is deception and cowardice. The same traits he throws upon those who have our ship in custody."
Kur'Oyi sighed. "I realize what is at stake here. But I cannot break my sratt with Borke. He says these two benefit each other, yet one does not work for the other. I see no difference in that distinction. I cannot break my sratt, to go against the people who i have given it too."
With that, Kur'Oyi looked over at Makina, Alistay, and Lucan, and looked back at Taelus. "They are treading on dangerous ground, my friend. If they keep questioning my own honor, I will be forced to challenge them to single combat, and they will die. I do not wish to kill them, but I will if they persist."
He sighed. "i cannot think of a way out of this. I do not wish to have you and Arrkay go into battle without me. Who will watch your back? but I will not break my honor and become af'harl to do so."

Listens to his words and notices that he's not being stubborn as she first thought. He obviously does want to help, but can't. So what will you do? she asks curiously since he will not be come with them.
