*There is a sudden jerk on Crista's backpack; she removes it to examine it, and feels a lump near the bottom. Reaching into it, she feels several bulbous forms which turn out to be....garlic. She shrugs, walks over to the cauldron and drops them into the bubbling water. Then makes her way back to the old woman.* Alright now, there's yer garlic. We've given ye yer supper, so where's the the eye? Come on now, don't be....... *But before she could finish speaking, the old woman began chanting and cackling. The water in the cauldron rolled with such force as to send it slopping over the sides. With a mightly SWOOSH, a creature rose up from the cauldron, tall it was, its body glistening from the moisture, the skin pasty white, slimy and lumpy. It let out a deep grunt, then exhaled a cloud of stinking odor. Gemstone, still being closest to the cauldron, was hit full in the face, paralyzing her completely, and leaving her within the golem's reach. While Keely, Iggy and Crista, receiving small whiffs of the horrid odor were only slightly dazed, and still able to move.*
My creation, my great creation.......at last you live....kill them, kill them all. *Screamed the old woman at the creature. She then chanted again shield, and began to transform. She become a beautiful young woman, with an enchanting smile.*

Note from the DM: the creature in the cauldron: meet the garlic golem, a creation by Kaber and myself.

*Greghoul hears the comotion and runs back to the room. He enters and spots the monster spawnd from the cauldren and spying Gem disabled on the floor he quickly moves between the golem and her to even the odds. Greghoul holds up his shield and checks to make sure Gem will be ok*
"Come on! I'll take you by myself!"
*Greghoul dives forward trying to push the golem away form Gem with his shield*

Gemstone (who is unable to move untill further notice by the DM) tries to move, but remains motionless, having slumped over on the floor...
Seeing Greghoul move inbetween herself and the golem, Gemini thinks:
"He is more concerned with protecting me, than himself?... Hmm... I'll have to thank him latter..."
Gemstone will continue to try to move untill able to do so.

Avana finally locates the garlic she was looking for and hears a commotion from the other room.
"Can't I leave you alone for a few minutes?" she calls sarcastically, and invisible, draws her blades.
Arriving into the room, she notes the creature, tumbles to it, and brings both blades to bear.

*The golem grabs the top of Greghoul's head, tilts it back and breathes a full, foul breath into his face......Greghoul falls over, paralyzed. Where the golem touched Greghoul, their is a slight movement of the skin; a rippling effect that is momentary, and he cannot feel it.*
*Avana, being invisible, has full advantage, and can hit with a 2 handed strike.*

Ignitius, still wearing his invisibility cloak, gapes at the garlic monstrosity rising out of the cauldron.
"I knews sumthin' were fishy 'bout that cauld... ACK!", he thinks just before a whiff of the creature's pungent odor makes him supress a gag.
"Man, what's that funky smell, heheheh? Okay, that thing's gotta go..."
Since allies lay stunned by the beast's stench, and the mad genasi still felt a bit giddy from the garlic fumes, he decides on... well, an alternative strategy.
On the opposite side of the garlic golem from where Gem and Greghoul lie coughing from its powerful fumes, what appears to be Ignitius suddenly steps out from the shadows.
*project image*
The illusory Iggy makes a face at the golem, and suddenly pulls what appears to be some sort of magicial gas mask from its robes and quickly puts it on.
"YO! GARLIC MAN! YOU SMELL!!! YOU SMELL BAAAAAD!!! Heheheh...", it shouts in as loud and obnoxious a voice as it can muster. Another product of Ignitius' dubious ventriliquism skills.
Hopefully this should distract the golem long enough for any still-active allies to get in a cheap shot. At the very least, it should distract the witch from joining the fight... Obviously the real Iggy is nowhere near his illusion; he's safely invisible and tucked away in another part of the room.

*Taken by surprise, one of Avana's swords (the +1 sword) slices a deep gash across the creature's chest. It howls in pain, taking a swing in the direction of the attack, but missing, since he cannot see her. Hearing Iggy's shouts, the creature turns, but still sees no one. To obtain better movement, the golem begins to climb out of the cauldron, fortunately, on the opposite side of where Gemstone and Greghoul both lie helpless upon the ground.*
*Meanwhile, Crista, dagger in hand, throws it at the witch, but it bounces off the shield she had placed upon herself. The witch begins to laugh, a tinkling, light laughter trying to enchant the elven thief, but to no avail. Seeing that her weapons have no chance of killing the witch, Crista puts on the invisibility cloak, and makes her way round the room to the cauldron, hoping to pull Gem and Greghoul to safety.*
Note: if Crista is successful, the paralysis will begin to lighten the farther she gets them away from the effects of the golem's breath weapon.

~I'm going to HAVE to get this last blade enchanted~ Avana notes her second sword have no effect. She briefly considers getting Gemini's weapon as she is neutralised, but recalls the blade's strange nature and decides against it. She, Gemini, Iggy and Keely were the only ones able to effectively harm the creature with their weapons, but with one neutralised, the other a spellslinger and Keely seeming not quite right at the moment Avana realises it is likley down to her. Aware of the great enchantment the cloak brings, she exploits it as far as possible.
As the Golem turns at Iggy's taunts and begins to stand, she dodges away from her previous location, and slices across the back of the creature's legs, hoping to hamper its movements, before moving slightly again to put the creature off locating her.

*Once again the golem moans in pain as Avana's sword makes a neat slice across the back of the creature's knees. It stumbles slightly, does not fall completely and seems to be hesitating; it looks towards the witch as if waiting for instructions.*
*The witch begins to chant* < Detect invisibility> *and is able to make out a fleeting figure (Avana). She points in Avana's direction* There goes a tasty snack for you my precious one, go fetch her for our cooking pot.
*Crista, who was crouched down on the other side of the cauldron, was busily trying to pull Gemstone towards, and out the door. Once done, she would come back for Greghoul*

Avana knows she still has a chance at evading the creature, only the witch know where she was, not this strange guardian of hers.
"Iggy nuke the b1tch!" she calls from her current position.
She tumbles this time to the side of the golem, slicing with her magical blade at his waist before continuing to move behind him.
~its almost a shame I'm invisible so others cannot see my work~

"Snackses?", a shrill voice calls out from the shadows, "Wouldn't ya wants a bit o' FIRE for yer cookin' pot, heheheh?"
At the same time, a roaring burst of flame screams out of the darkness, flying into a spot which would strike the witch without hitting any allies. The fire explodes, searing the surprised spellcaster and her shield.
"That'll keep 'er on 'er toes, heheheh...", the mad mage grins under his cloak of invisibility, half-realizing he'll probably be found out if his opponent had prepared another detect invisibility spell.. An insane idea comes to his mind as he recalls the verbal command of the witch to the golem. He snickers to himself, mentally searching the air for wherever his purple friend was hiding.
"Ay, Jojo! Can ya do impersonations?", he mentally asks.
