"That is a problem, yes. Perhaps we should give him a day or two, and then leave whether he is with us or not."

We cannot afford to wait. bellowed Nirenn, from the gates Remember, we will not be infiltrating immediately, but will be doing a good deal of reconnaisance as well. I'm sure that when Sir Galadon returns he will be able to follow us. As for healing, we will leave that to fate and nature. And for defense against magic, a mage cannot strike what he cannot see. We will go silently, quickly, and under constant cover. Fear not!

"No offence Rill but thats a damn foolish way to plan a campaign." Challenger said levely. "Mages don't need to see to kill and I can only do so much alone before spells start getting through. Worse if we take an serious wounds we're going to end up leave men behind or abandoning the whole thing to allow them to keep up. If there was no magic to worry about I'd agree with you but sooner or later we are going to wander into a magical sentry or alarm spell and we're going to need the magical firepower to counter our enemy. If we leave right now we will be putting far to much in the hands of fate for my likeing."

"Is there some sort of trail we could leave that he could easily follow that wouldn't endanger the mission? I think our best risk at the moment is to set off and hope that he will catch up with us. I agree that he may be a valuable asset, but I also agree that there is no time to waste."

"Anything he could follow so could someone else. I imagine he could find us on his own without too much difficulty but then he might miss us and run into a enemy force alone." Challenger said.
[Damn that bloody druid for flying off without telling me when he was going to return] he thought.
"If we could wait two days I could fetch a device that would allow us to remain in contact with Ariel once we leave. She could inturn pass on our location to Galadon." he said.

Ariel smiled to Challenger, but shook her head and said "I fear, you forget that I will not be staying in Windfort for long. Though I will not fight at your side during the mission, I and my windriders will have to play our part in this mission as well, and we must be at striking position by the start of the mission. And though I would prefer to stay aside from your discussion, personally, I think that while Sir Galadon's help would indeed be valuable, our waiting will most likely be a fruitless one. And besides, if Sir Galadon would be able to find allies, it would probably more important, then if he would fight at your side during your mission. Remember, this mission is the first one, not the last one."

[It will be the last one if we screw it up] he though but with unusual tact managed not to say it.
"I had assumed your wind riders would not need to depart at the same time we do but then aerial combat never was my strongest subject. However the offer still stands I can leave them with your lieutenant as readily as yourself. Well what ever we do we need to decide now. If we're going to go delay won't help. If we wait sooner I'm off sooner I'm back."

"I and my windriders will depart indeed later then you will." says Ariel "But we cannot be sure whether I will be able to wait until Sir Galadon's return or not, as we have no idea when Sir Galadon will return. Still, it is indeed a good idea to leave this communication device with Lieutenant Feinon, for he will remain here to oversee the defenses of Windfort. Yet, the question is whether the rest of the heroes would choose to wait long enough for you to fetch this device or not. Please, heroes, decide whatever to delay this long or not among yourslves."

"Rill just about everyone here looks to you for leadership and I've no intrest in trying for the job. It your decision." Challenger said.

Ariel walked to Challenger, and for a moment it seemed that she was going to put her hand on his shoulded, but even if so, she appearantly decided against it, probably realizing how foolish such attempt would look because of difference of their height, or perhaps for some other reason.
"Please, don't take it personal, Challenger" says Ariel gently "Major Nirenn is indeed an excellent leaded and tactician..." Ariel turned to Nirenn and added "...Though only when he doesn't allow his emotions to cloud his judgement."

"I would suggest waiting. Two days is not too long a span of time, but no more than that. And our druid friend may turn out to be a great asset."

Challenger looked at Ariel obvious confused then his expresion changed to a look of realisation.
"Oh you think I'm hurt because I'm being overuled. Sorry my tone does tend to be a bit emosionless before battle. I'm not. Almost everyone here has defered to Rill since I got here and we need to be unified for this to work. Don't expect me to remain silent if I think your wrong Rill or be happy about you choicing to ignore my advice, but the others trust in you and you've done nothing to show yourself incompitant so I will trust that you believe that what you are do is for the best." He said calmly.

Terren reaches his room quickly and quickly stows his old satchel with his new one. "I'm glad that I didn't unpack too much." He then surveys his person and strips himself of the greater amount of his armor, leaving the bare minimum required for decency and comfort. He then takes up his shield and lance. "Hmm, these might get in the way if we are attacked in the forest and I don't think I shall be flying soon." Deciding this, he stows both and draws a huge odd looking longsword as well as a smaller shield from the satchel. "Ahh, these should serve me well." He then dons his cloak and boots, finding them more comfortable than he imagined. Having everything in order, Terren makes his way back to the group.

"I am glad, that you are not offended, Challenger" said Ariel "Of course, nobody expect you to remain silent if you will disagree with something, in fact, you opinion will be valued, I am sure of it! And everybody can make mistakes from time to time, and unfortunately, Major Nirenn is not an exception. Yet, I believe, that Major Nirenn is the best leader and tactician among us."
