"Oh, no!" suddenly said Ramishi, who was still looking to the south "I cannot believe this! This cannot be!"

"What is it, that you cannot believe, woman?" asked Rikkon sharply, but Turanis could hear a hint of worrying in Rikkon's voice.

"Lord Rikkon, it's..." spoke Ramishi, and now Turanis could clearly hear that Ramishi sounded very frightened indeed, terrified would be the more precise word "...It's a sandstorm, Lord Rikkon! And it appears to be going straight towards us!"

Turanis mentally willed the dark flames to die out, not sparing time he began casting Wall of Ice (hemishpere type around him and Ramishi) " This is getting interesting...

"Interesting?!" asked Ramishi, and Turanis noticed, that even though Ramishi still sounded fearful, but now Turanis could clearly hear the unapropriate hints of anger in her voice "If this sandstorm will hit us, all of us are as good as dead, and this is simply 'interesting' for you?!"

Before Turanis completed his spellcasting, Ramishi rushed to Jabar into the nomads' camp, which placed her outside Turanis' semispherical Wall of Ice by the time when Turanis would complete his spellcasting...

Meanwhile, Rikkon looked into the direction of the approaching sandstorm, and shook his head.

"No, it is too early for the protective spells." thought Rikkon "I'll better protect myself when this sandstorm will get closer, this way my protective spells will surely last through this sandstorm. But what or who caused it, I wonder."

Turanis sat down inside the sphere and opened a case attached to the back of his hip. He fingered through the parchments contained within until he came upon what he was looking for, a scroll of maximized Wind Wall. He looked at the hemisphere in a look of appraisment, "Not bad...
~That Ramishi obviously either has lived a rather sheltered life or hasn't experienced death very often... heh... she is scared of death... oh well...~

With his hemispherical Wall of Ice being more then a foot thick, Turanis cannot see what is going on outside his hemispherical Wall of Ice. However, according to what Turanis knows about his own power and about Wall of Ice, he understands that his hemispherical Wall of Ice will not last more then seventeen minutes. And Turanis also realizes, that seventeen minutes probably won't even be enough for the sandstorm even to reach them, let alone pass them. So, Turanis suspects, that casting Wall of Ice was probably a hasty decision, unless he will think of some way to make his hemispherical Wall of Ice permanent or at least to make his hemispherical Wall of Ice to last longer...
