"Anyone got a glass?" asked Challenger suddenly.
As Challenger asked it, he saw, that Bariel indeed has a spyglass with her, and was currently using it to study the enemy fortress herself.

"Sure, you can take mine, Challenger" said Bariel, handing her spyglass to Challenger.
She seemed to be disturbed by something...

"Rill, I don't like something about this" said Bariel, moving closer to Rill.
"True, they seem to be completely unaware about us, but, Nine Hells, it just feels wrong!" continues Bariel "True, everything is goes according to plan for now, but both of us know, that nothing ever goes ccording to plan. I am sure, they are expecting something, and just overdo trying to seem unsuspicious, that's it! I have a nasty feeling, that whoever will try to approach them first isn't going to end well. That's why are are going to get there under the cover of the attack of Ariel's Windriders and your Specrum Force. Is it really safe to send Sir Alessandro there, even if he will be protected by invisibility?"

"Alessandro I think their constructs or undead on the walls either way invis won't be a whole lot of good agaist them. I think you'd best stay down here." Challenger said.
"Thanks." He said to Bariel as he took her spy glass and put it to one eye closing the other as he scanned the walls.
"Just a thought, but how long did Ariel say the rope on these grappling hooks were.?"

"Once hundred feet" replied Bariel to Challenger "From what I have seen, I guess it will be enough... And it better be so, otherwise we are going to face some troubles."

!For Challenger only!
Throught the spyglass Challenger saw that the creatures walking upon the walls look like massive, roughly humanoid toads with arms instead of forelegs. They seem to carry various weapons with them, and partial plate armor covers their massive bodies. While Challenger's lack of knowledge about the Planes doesn't allow Challenger to identify these creatures, Challenger have a feeling, that each of the creatures is going to be a tough kill.

"We might be forced to enter the main fort somewhere in the middle. Can't tell if its conected to the wall or it starts at the same level." Challenger replied to Bariel.
"Damn." He cursed as he watched the creatures on the walls. "Looks likes he's got a fair few Slaad with him." (/ooc Bet I've spelt that wrong)
"This could be trouble some. Rill see what you think." He said as he passed the glass to Rill
(/ooc Challengers general knowledge of the planes is limited. However he has some specific knowledge on a few of its creatures.)

Terren walks closer to her while keeping under cover. "Then why haven't you so much as glanced at us for the last month. I don't want anything getting in the way of this mission." His voice softens. "Besides, I really don't like ill feelings with my comrades. I'm not a bad person, just different. I would think that you would be more accepting considering..." "Considering I'm a half-blood, too?" Koriisa turns to face Terren and walks a few steps closer to him, away from the tree. "You think I like the way I am? I am an abberation, a freak, an affront to everything that is good and natural. Creatures like us were not meant to walk in this world. It's all I can do to control my draconic desires. I picked this life of discipline to prevent the evil within me from destroying any more lives." Her voice had risen from a whisper, and she snaps her jaws shut as if just remembering the need for stealth. She takes a step back and turns away. "This world would be better off if I had never been born," she mumbles.

Terren takes a moment to consider her words. "I see you point, but I disagree. Who is to say that what is good and natural? We are living breathing beings, from stock that has existed back into the ages. I don't consider us aberrarations, but instead unique individuals. It isn't easy to resist my primal instincts, though yours might be stronger, but I endure. The call of battle is strong in my heart. They are a part of me, but I choose how I live. Please, don't judge me by your assumptions about my race. I am still a person and a member of this group. I'm just looking for a bit of cooperation." With this, he cocks his head and smiles warmly.

Rill looks over to Koriisa and Terren, and points to his ears
Hey, guys! In case you haven't noticed, I'm a half-elf! That's not necessarily the best thing down here, but wait till you get to the planes and everyone's got something of everything in them. Believe me, being a half-breed is a selling point in most places. Don't feel sorry for yourself. Now, back to the mission...
Nirenn turns to Bariel
Bariel, what I have found is that unless the enemy has some major advantage that I had failed to take into account, everything that I plan goes according to plan. Fear not he said Even if those things up there are constructs, magi, or something else with the ability to detect invisible creatures, I doubt that their range of vision is anything to match Blaize-Blain's. However, the presence of non-mortals on the parapet does change our battle plans slightly. I'll be back
Nirenn pulls out his communications stone and walks a little further into the underbrush, telling Captain Noren technical details about the speed and focus of the attack.

"I'm sorry," she says quietly, still looking out at the fortress. "It's just--" She looks down at the ground, trying to phrase her words. "I'm just uncomfortable. I... I know it's not your fault. It's just easier to keep my distance." She turns to look him in the eyes. It's the first time she has looked him straight on without any anger in her face. "But I give you my word that I will not endanger you or this mission."
She turns to Major Nirenn as he speaks to them, but he turns away before she has a chance to reply. She frowns at him and bares her teeth for a second as if she wanted to say something angry, but then stalks back to her tree, blending into the forest again, words unsaid.

Terren smiles and nods slightly at Koriisa's comments. "That's all I ask." He then returns to his rock.

"Of course, you are right, Rill" said Bariel after Rill finished giving his orders to Captain Noren "However, I wonder would you like to have a look at enemy fortress yourself?" Bariel gestured toward Challenger, who was offering a spyglass to Rill "After all, you know about these creatures more then everone else of us."

"If those are what I think they are Rill your first strikes going to have to clear the walls of them. At least the area of wall we intend to be climbing. Preferable with a second area cleared so our point of entry isn't so obvious. If it doesn't our enemys gonna have alot more firepower than we banked on and killing those things is always a bastard." Challenger said mater of factly.
"What sort of firepower does Spectrum force have? Whats the delay between you giving the order and their shots hitting the ground? Can we call in fire support dirrect from them or are we stuck with whatever we pre arrange?" he asked suddenly

I have arranged for Captain Noren to use our rain of fire attack. Essentially, I will have 100 fireballs and 200 musket rounds covering the area of deployment within the span of 15 seconds. Every single attack will be aimed to kill. We will make 3 seperate runs at random increments, with the first and last designed to hit the ground forces, and the 2nd aimed at air defenses. Naturally, if fireballs are found to be ineffective, then subsequent runs will utilize different weapons. said Rill
As for frequency, I can call in as many strikes as we need via my communications stone, but for it to work effective, I need to be on the surface. Each run will happen exactly 5 seconds from when I ask for it, but we can only make a maximum of 20 runs regardless of whatever happens. Considering the speed of my troops, casualties are, as usual, estimated to be 0. We've used the rain of fire against diabolic armies, and even abishai and glabrezu were unable to hit us before we were out.
