If it makes you feel any better, BRO, I didn't know English wasn't your native language (though I suppose I should've realized it when you said you didn't live anywhere near here ). I'm just so used to seeing grammar and spelling mistakes online from native English speakers that I don't notice them anymore. I just like to hold myself to high standards, even online where nobody cares. God, you should hear my sister... she corrects me all the time on my use of "who" and "whom." And she never seems to hear me when I inevitably reply with, "I DON'T CARE."

Oh, c'mon, Merkuri, after all, English is your native language, isn't it? So, you don't have to worry about it much. As about me, I am just horrified when I try to imagine how bad, confusing and full of mistakes my English writing is for those for whom English is native language. *Looks upset* BRO, don't say such things! English isn't the best language in the world, even I make mistakes and it's my first language. *Hides in shame under the table* Your English writing is fantastic, not many people know a second language aswell as you do,...I'm quite worried I'll upset you when I begin my second langauge studies *Beccy winks* but I shall try my up most best. So don't worry about it BRO! *reassuring kiss*

As for me, since I am supposed to be manager with specialization for INTERNATIONAL affaris, I am supposed to know English about as well as my native language (though it is not especially well ).

Well, I am not sure whether to take your words as a compliment to myself, or as a criticism to your fellow native English speakers. But, I'll take them as a compliment! Well, I am 95% sure that your words were in fact meant as a criticism to your fellow native English speakers, but they me make me feel much better when I consider them a compliment to myself! So, why shouldn't I give myself this little pleasure, eh?

You know if you han't told us that I would never have guessed. Kinda puts me to shame I'm so poor at my only second language (French) that in general I'm better off using hand signals to a frenchman.

Challenger Well, you don't really have such a necessarity to study the second language if English is your first language, eh? I guess, you can just speak English in most of the countries, and will be more or less easily understood, eh?

Not realy Thats whats technicaly known as the "Englishman Supremacy Theory." You know where the Englishmen of old (And a fair number of them today come to that) think that if you talk slowly and loudly they will understand you. Its one of the prime reasons for Britian not getting on with France. In bussness its probably different but ordering two meat pies and a pint of milk from the corner shop is a whole different kettle of fish. (Before I get jumped on by any English players I am english myself remember Challenger

Well, I am not sure whether to take your words as a compliment to myself, or as a criticism to your fellow native English speakers. But, I'll take them as a compliment! It was meant as both. I'll be honest, your English isn't perfect, but it's sure better than my Spanish. Or even my Sign Language. Regina's right... even though English is supposed to be this huge "international" language and most Europeans who are bi-lingual (which, I'm sure, is much much more percentage-wise than the number of Americans who are bi-lingual) know English as their second language, it is one of the most difficult languages to learn and speak. There are so many exceptions to rules and so many figures of speech that it's a wonder anyone can understand it at all. Us native English speakers are at an advantage because we learned the language when we were young and better at that sort of thing. I'm surprised that your head (or anyone else's head who speaks English as a second language) doesn't just explode when they try to speak it.

Challenger, like I said already, the majority of Europeans who are bilingual speak English as their second language. And the percentage of Europeans who are bilingual far outweighs the percentage of Americans who are bilingual (I don't know about England specifically, though). So it is very possible to get around most of Europe (I think France is the exception, but they don't like us Americans too much) if you only speak English. I'm not saying English is a superior language or anything, just that it's fairly common (relatively). Although the "if I speak louder and slower then you'll understand" theory applies to much of America as well as England.

Not even people in the U.S. speak english that well. Go in the south and you will meet some people who speak english, but you still need a translator.

Hey, BRO... any of those little guys looking in the direction of the door? They probably are, but I want to check anyway. There are four of them, and they look around most of the time, so yes, one or another of them cast a look at the door quite often.

Out of curiosity... about how long does Amy have left on her invisibility spell? I've lost track of how long we've been here, but I'm hoping Koriisa hasn't. :eyeroll:

Out of curiosity... about how long does Amy have left on her invisibility spell? I've lost track of how long we've been here, but I'm hoping Koriisa hasn't. I guess, it is not especially easy for Koriisa to precisely keep the track of the time with all the ugly creature showing up all the time, and with all the difficulties to keep their presence as unseen as possible, which is not especially easy even with Invisibility spell and Improved Invisibility spell casted upon Amy and Koriisa... So, I have a serious feeling that Koriisa had all the chances to loose the track of time too... So, the only thing Koriisa knows for sure is that Amy's Improved Invisibility spell isn't going to last especially long...
