"I thought so." said Myu, smiling once again "When I first saw you, something in you remind me of my father very much. Well, not in physical appearance, but in... well, I suppose, you know what I mean."
"In fact" added Myu a bit shyly "The way I met you remind me of my mother's story about how she met father for the first time. He too needed her help, only in his case, he wasn't physically injuried, but... well, it is probably of no interest to you, so sorry for speaking about this."
Myu cut a piece of the meat, put it into her mouth and began to chew.

Challenger had been attacking the deer with a vengence while Myu spoke. He had only realise how hungry he attualy was when he started to eat. As she finished he swollowed.
"Don't worry your not borring me." He said with a smile. "But if you don't wish to talk about it I won't press you."

The deer is very well cooked indeed, and after a month of eating dry trail rations, it seems like it is a meal worthy of a king to Challenger.

Myu returned Challenger's smile a bit shyly.
"I don't mind telling you this story at all, Challenger." said Myu after swallowing the piece of meat she was chewing "In fact, I enjoy talking with you very much, Challenger, as it is not often I am having somebody to talk with in here. If you would like to hear the story of how my mother and father met for the first time, I would gladly tell it to you, but... well, unlike my father, I am not especially skillful in storytelling, and I can't say that I remember too many details, after all, I was only twelve when I was told this story."

"This is very good by the way." he said indicating their meal.

”Thank you, by the way” said Myu, smiling to Challenger ”Okay, I’ll go on to the story now, I am not especially good in storytelling, but I’ll try my best for you. My father is Taman Windrivver, and he is an adventurer of no small renown…” Myu smiled once again ”…Or, at least, that’s how he likes to call himself. When he was only slightly older then me, he and his companions set sail to the Jungles of Chult, in search for the lost city, which belonged to the ancient empire of some kind, and a powerful magical artifact, which was located in there according to the ancient book in their possession. However, on their journey through the Jungles of Chult, father and his companions were attacked by some kind of undead creature, and it… somehow harmed my father. I am not exactly sure how, but I believe, that what this undead creature did is called ‘energy draining’ or something like that. Since nobody among father’s companions could help him, he insisted upon attempting to find some kind of local village and possibly somebody who would be able to help him there. Whether it was a pure coincidence, or Tymora’s divine intervention, for at that time father worshiped Our Smiling Lady, for father and his companions indeed happened to find a local village, where mother, who was known only as Mainu of Chult then, lived. My mother was… away at the time when father and his companions came to her village, but father learned that local villages indeed had a healer among them, insisted upon waiting for mother to return, to his companions’ great displeasure, I must add. Finally, after father and his companions waited for a few days, mother returned, and that was when she and father met for the first time. Later father claimed, that he was so smitten by mother’s wild beauty, that for some time he forgot the reasons why he came there. On the other hand, mother was interested, intrigued and charmed by father’s strange but charming manner of speaking, acting and dressing, and…” Myu smiled to Challenger for the third time ”…also by his dashing spirit and willingness to gamble his life upon the roll of the die, even though mother never admitted it, probably even to herself. Even when father finally gathered his thoughts, and spoke out a reason of why he sought her, he wasn’t disappointed at all when mother answered that she doesn’t know how to help him. Afterwards, father insisted upon waiting until the morning before departing deeper into Jungles of Chult, and fortunately his companions agreed, because he had quite an influence among them, mostly because he provided them with a free ship to Chult and then back to Waterdeep. Since the local villagers had a small celebration of some kind that day, father used it as a good excuse to show his singing and musical talents, for among his others positive qualities my father is good performer. After this celebration was over, father kinda offered to mother to perform more for her in private, if she wasn’t tired, and to father’s great surprise, mother agreed, and father and mother stayed together in mother’s house for a quite a part of the night. Even though mother couldn’t understand some of the things father was talking and singing about, especially she couldn’t understand the point of what father called ‘adventuring’, mother was more and more enamoured of father. However, due to her… khm… rather unpleasant experience in the past, mother didn’t showed her feeling, and father later admitted, that he completely couldn’t understand what she was feeling and thinking then. Eventually…” Myu giggled sheepishly ”…father passed out because of tiredness, as unfortunately great endurance was never among father’s positive qualities. Try to imagine father’s embarrassment…” Myu giggled sheepishly once again ”…when he awoke in mother’s house in the morning, without remembering how he fall asleep and what happened or didn’t happened during the night! In fact, mother later claimed, that father’s cute embarrassment was the final cause that made her realize that she fallen in love with him, even though she didn’t admitted her feelings for him then, and didn’t followed him into the lost city, which she rightly believed to be cursed. On the other hand, even though father felt urge to stay with mother, his desire to discover undiscovered and to explore unexplored was too great for him to overcome, and so, father promised mother to return to her, and then proceeded with his companions toward the lost city. But, as you can guess, my father returned from there, and meet my mother once again, but… that is another story!”

”I must say sorry for my storytelling skills, as they are certainly far from that of my father’s, as my father is a very skillful storyteller indeed.” finished Myu her story ”But nevertheless, I hope, that you enjoyed this story, Challenger, for I really tried my best.”

”I also hope, Challenger, that now you understand what I meant before better, don’t you?” continued Myu after a short pause ”It will be same with you and me, won’t it? You will spent some time with me, and then you will go ahead toward whatever adventures are waiting for you, leaving me to wonder, whether we will ever meet again or no. It is so, isn’t it?”

Challenger took a deep breath. He had a fair idea of how she was thinking. He'd screwed up he realised, he'd complettly misjudged the experience and knowledge Myu had on men and what he had though of as harmless flirting she had taken as something far more.
He thought to himself. But he knew deep down that he would be leaveing likely never to return tomorrow and he would never, could never deliberatly hurt an innocent like Myu on purpose, and that lying now would hurt her more than the truth would as much as that alone would hurt her. Truth to tell he would love to stay here with her, to retire to a place like this, but that was never going to be an option. [I'm my own worse enemy] he thought
He released the breath unable to meet Myu's eyes. As he spoke sorrow was evident in his voice.
"Myu as much as it pains me to say this I can't stay and I don't think I'm likely to be able to return either. Tommorow I must leave to go back to the war I left, I have no choice and I'm not likely to be returning. Your a beautiful woman both in body and spirit and one day you will find the man for you but I'm not him."
He finished with a sigh
"I'm sorry to have led you on it wasn't my intention."

"Don't be sorry, Challenger, for I can understand you completely." said Myu, smiling to Challenger sadly "You do not belong this place, and there is no place you belong to, for you belong all the places, Challenger. And there is nothing you or I can do about it, so there is no reason for you to say sorry. It is I who am sorry for troubling you. There is only one thing I would like to ask of you. Please, Challenger, once a while remember that there is a girl like me somewhere far away, and that she remembers you as well. Would you do this little favor for me? This is all I ask, because I know that this is all you can give. And please, Challenger, keep yourself safe in this war of yours, alright?"

"I thank you too, Challenger." said Myu, and then added, sounding almost like her former cheerful self, even though Challenger could still distinguish a hint of sadness in her voice "But let's speak about what will happen tomorrow no more, Challenger. Whatever luck brough you here, I think you should take advantage of it and try to relax. Forget all your worries just for today, and never ever regret about doing what you think to be right thing. Okay?"

"Deal." Challenger replied.
"Do the falls outside have a name?" he asked changing the subject. "There a rare sight."

"Indeed they have" replied Myu, apparently glad about the change of the subject "These falls are known as Dancing Falls, even though few knows about them. In fact, this name is what intrigued father to seek this place out, and then to build house in here. He saw this name at some kind of old map of the High Forest, and instantly decided that he want to see what these Dancing Falls look like. And after finding this place with surprisingly little troubles, or so he said, he decided that this is just a perfect place to build a house. Fortunately father had a plenty of friends to help him with that. Oh, and I must agree with you, Challenger, Dancing Falls are indeed a wonderful view. Even though I lived here my whole life, I never couldn't stop admire them, even though they are a view I see nearly every day. Oh, and by the way, I wonder, would you like to give them a closer look? I cannot say that they look better when you are closer to them, for they lack a certain... mysterious and magical aura about them, when you are closer to them, but I thought, you might like to see Dancing Falls in a bit different view. If so, I know a good way up there. Well, truth to tell, it is not especially good, as the climb is still difficult, but father's old climbing gear is still in the house, so we will be able to use it, if you would like to give it a try. So, what would you say, Challenger?"
Myu cut and ate another piece of the deer, while waiting for Challenger's answer.
