Rill does not move from where he stands
The pixie is useless to us all. I have a prior commitment to keep her from harm, which I will honor, but expending time to find her is ultimately a waste of resources.

Leiton Ashwand stopped, turned to Rill and said ”Believe me, Major Nirenn, very little time will be wasted in order to find your pixie friend. Or do you not believe that the pixie can be persuaded to join our cause? Is that it, Major Nirenn?”

Doubtful. She's a spirit of nature. Not likely to bow down to a demon lord, regardless of the price. If you still wish to find her, that's your prerogative. I'm just suggesting that we could be doing something productive. said Rill, candidly

”It would still be better to have her with us, whether as an ally, or as a prisoner.” Leiton Ashwand says ”If she is left out somewhere out there, she may do something stupid, and then we’ll be forced to… Mmmm… Harm her. Imprisonment is better then death, don’t you think so, Major Nirenn?”

”And besides” Gin’Khan added from behind Rill ”She must have fought alongside with you in Blood War, when you fought against Baatezu, hasn’t she? In a way, our situation isn’t much different, even if most of actual opposition comes from Baatezu’s unknowing pawns. If you put the situation this way, perhaps your pixie friend can be persuaded to join our cause after all?”

Agreed. It is, perhaps, a good idea to keep track of all those random elements.

”If you agree, Major Nirenn, then come up to the Ashstone.” Leiton Ashwand says, and something in the tone of his voice suggests to Rill that he is beginning to lose his patience. ”It will be hard for me to locate the pixie without your help.”

Certainly said Rill, walking up to join Ashwand.

As Rill walked up to the large jet-black gemstone that Leiton Ashwand called “Ashstone”…

…And almost immediately after, Rill feels some strange and alien presence touching his mind, even if just barely…

”Don’t panic, Major Nirenn.” Leiton Ashwand says, now from behind Rill ”This is just the way Ashstone allows you to use it. You won’t be able to do much without magical training and a long period of study, but some of Ashstone’s basic functions are within your disposal now. Just imagine your pixie friend in you mind and focus your thoughts on finding her – it would be enough to do the job.”

Rill, slightly uncomfortable at being this close to such a powerful magical object, does as Lord Ashwand suggests, bringing Talguma to mind and focusing on her.

…And then, the nearest side of Ashstone suddenly began to glitter, and in a matter of a few more seconds, it started to look almost like a mirror…
