Yes, LBD is right,...that IS NOT a crumpet. Mmm,....I really could do with a nice crumpet right now,....toasted and spread with clover (butter) lovely! Now that's a crumpet! Heh,....guess I am kinda an obvious brit in my sense of tea loving and crumpet eating,...thing is what makes me and LBD (And Aylix!) unique than any other brit is that we're from Staffordshire, where you can get oatcakes! You can buy them elsewhere but,...here in Staffordshire you can get them freshly made and they are soooo nice! You must travel here and eat one just to see we're right! You can have them with pratically anything,...cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers and even......Jam!.......Yes, my father started telling us about how his mother would make hims jam oatcakes and they are heavenly, am I right LBD, Aylix?
