So, yeah. The New Jersey VICA competition was this weekend. It's where all of the vocational schools of NJ get together and compete for place, and whomever gets first in their various field gets to go onto the national VICA competition. My school sent 11 people, 3 for Web Design, 1 for computer repair and matienence, 1 for cabling, 1 for job interview, 1 for trade display, a couple for automotive stuff, and 1 for Internetworking. I was present for the Internetworking. I took the various tests and flew past them with ease. Only problem I had was I know the 2500 series Cisco router and not the new 2600. They tested mostly on the 2600. But apparently I was good enough to get 3rd place and a bronze medal.

Congrats RW.
Considering the unfamiliarity with the router, third is nothing to sneeze at.

Thanks SD. Much appreciated. It's just unfortunate I can't go back a second time like most kids do. My school only sends seinors, and whence you're out of high school you're out of VICA...

Did you ever tell us what college you were going to, and what you wanted to major in?

Well, that's a rather complicated issue.
Since I hafta stya here for the next few years for the doc check-ups with the whole cancer thing and all, I'm going to go to a local college for a few years and get a couple of associates before I go off somewhere. Whence I'm done I'm going off to either Colorado, Texas or Florida to get my bachelor's in Video Game Development and Design.
So yeah, that's my plan.

Greg, whereabouts do you live? If the Lady so wishes, and it's not that far off track, I'll come pick you up, providing ALL of my passengers (including Emil and ANthony) give me some gas money. $5 will do. PM me, or AIM message me. We'll figure this out if it's possible and if EVERYONE really wants this to happen. I have no problem chauferring.(sp?)
