Jastra sat by the fire watching Challenger cook the deer he hunted. He tried not to stare at her, but she still noticed. Wondering what kind of weak female elf she was in time of inposed memory loss. It bothered her he had feeling for her, she hardly knew the guy plus he was an elf. If he was a moon elf like her she could tolerate it but a grey elf. She liked humans better, less snotty, and a bit more fun.
Challenger stood up to taste some of the meat.
Jastra looked up and calmly said, If we had sex tonight would that cure your lusting eyes at me or just make it worst?
Challenger breathed in the hot meat and spent the next few minutes choking and trying to get his breath back.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable." Challenger replied after getting his breath back
"I had though I was keeping control better, I must be getting tired. I think this is more or less done he continued as he began to serve the meat.
"How are you feeling now, do you remember anything else?" he asked changing the subject.

"It would probably make matters worse." Challenger replied honestly.

Galadon tells me you and Strider don't see eye to eye on somethings. I know Strider for a long time and I know how he can be. Care to tell me why you don't like him?

"Its daft but we're too similar to get on." Challenger said shrugging his shoulders.
"There's a lot about him that reminds me of myself at his age and me now I guess. To be honest I think he's a good man but like me he's got an arrogant streak and that tends to cause friction between us. Neither of us will back down to the other and things just escalates and get out of hand. He rubs me as a arrogant young blood with a chip on his shoulder and I guess he views me as a arrogant old timer who resents the competition. I suppose it doesn't help he's dead certain I've got plans on you. An impression that’s probably my fault."

Jastra laugh out loud. Arrogant, you should have met him before he left. From what Galadon tell's me he's almost passive. As for always being right, would you rather have someone who couldn't make up his mind. Strider is good at what he does, but has little time for little talk when things need to be done. If Galadon couldn't change him nothing can. Except for whereever he went in Kara Tur.
Why do you keep trying to fool yourself you had women throw themself at you. From what I'm told you wait to long, why is that, are you afraid of commitment?
You can look me in the eyes and tell me you never wanted me?

"Yep I could but you'd probably spot the lie easy enough." Challenger replied flippently with a grin.
He went serious and looked into Jastra's eyes
"I have loved you since the day I meet you, from the bottem of my heart to the depths of my soul. There is nothing more in this world or any other that I want than to be able to lie down beside you and be with you for the rest of my life. But you are married and from what I see happily married and thats that."

OCC: hey, I`ll just step in and act like it hasn`t been a looonnnggg time Horrad held his tongue under conversation, partly because it didn`t concern him, partly he didn`t really care. Instead he cleaned his weapons and mended whatever had suffered strain under the previous fighting, all done while he quietly muttered an outlandish northern hymn. In a curious way the song didn`t seem to consist of seperate words, but appeared like a mantra or a one long sound without any linguistic meaning.

(/ooc welcome back mate. Glad to have a sane person in the group The next morning With alot on this mind currently Challenger hadn't got much sleep and he awoke far from fresh. Yawning he gathered his equipment almost on automatic as he helped break camp. "Think you could start a marching tune to keep us going?" He asked Horrad as the group prepared to set off. Challenger

No...time will tell wither this march is worth a tune Horrad said with his usual sincerity, looking Challenger in the eyes as he did.

On the road near the Greypeak Not long after Sunrise 24 Mirtul 1372 DR
The Forgotten Warriors traveled east along the Dawn Pass. They were at the foot of the Greypeak mountains, they would have to go over the mountain before turning south to Everska. The weather was warming so the mountain won't be that bad, hopefully.
That old feeling started to creep into Challenger body, they were being watched. Of course seeing some quick shadows darting here and there helped.
