Timeline 0009 Sokar sent amental message to Boh: "Send me birds eye view of battlefield."
Then Sokar spurred his horse until he was close to Jastra was. Then he got off his horse and readied his Oath Bow. Once he seen the second figure, He awore the oathth of the Oath Bow...

I'd quite like to get to fight rather than spectate as uber NPCs pop into existance and kill our (apparently powerful) enemies with ease.

You really don't want to fight a phaerimm. If the enemy is beyond us why are we going? Challenger

So you want a game with creatures you can defeat. Learning about powerful creatures, telling other who can do something about them. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

And sit on the side lines of any fight and have a picnic?
In a party made up of three warriors?
Can you see Challenger or Horrad for that matter staying out of a fight because the odds are long?
Would we even be going if we were the sort to add up odds?
If we play IC we are going to end up dead in short order. Either that or your going to have to rescue us ever time the enemy shows up.
Seriously though I've played games where the monsters are totaly beyond the PCs and they are forced to rely on NPCs to suvive.
Those games got extremely boring/fustrating extremely fast. Its a nice idea but it doesn't work. Nothing the PC acheves seems to have any meaning because the NPC could have done it in half the time and half the trouble.

It's all so a way to pass on information, NPC, . Yea who have little faith. A few bugbears.

Look I'm being serious here so stop taking the piss and listen for a second.
I've done this before. It was as interesting as watching paint dry. The PCs ended up as little more than fustrated spectators as the NPCs were the only ones with a hope of doing anything worth while.
If you were planning a politics/intelligence gathering campaign from the off we could have done with the warning. Because lets face it my current charecter is a hinderence in the first and a hazard to the parties safety in the second.

Every now and then Galadon and I argue about some aspect of the game we disagree on.
In this case I'm objecting to being sent on an impossible mission against foes we apparently can't touch 4 on 1. Well actualy I'm more bothered about having to rely on an NPC to suvive this adventure. Tough odds are one thing. Impossible odds are quite another.
