Ok, this is a prelude to my Cost of a Drow's Heart RP at the Planet......I am running it there and here at the same time to see how different the storys will go when we reach the end, so no cheating by peeking at the other site!!!!! this is a forgotten Realms campaign. I am going to be a little more strict though, so if I see someone going out of control, you will be given one (1) warning to correct that error. do it again and I will be foreced to remove you from the rp. Sorry, but I am still not happy about the way that Drow's Heart ended. Same things apply other than that.
Sighing, Taerdryn walked out of the house of his clan. A ruling family for centuries, they was crushed within minutes, leavign him as the only survivor. Under the threat of death, he was beng forced to leave the city. Sighing, he hefted his bundle of things on his shoulders and started his way to the surface world. .........................
Days later, Taerdryn finally glimpsed the cave to the surface world. Without loking back, he started to trudge up and out, emerging into the near-darkness of early dawn. Looking around, he blinks as large green and brown things come into sight. Remembering the books he read on surface lore, he finally realized the things were trees. Feeling weary from his treck through the Underdark, he collapsed uncaringly against a tree trunk, wrapping his head in his thick cloak to block out the near-rising sun's briliant light . Without a moment's thought, he drifted off into a resting trance.

A female elf with green eyes and pale gold hair and dark skin walks back to the trees where she had left her clothes the prevoise night and sees a figuer wrapped in a grey cloak. Thinking that it might be a wearry travler she quietlly goes to the oppset tree and gets her clothes on and lays her baster sword next to her as she starst to build a fire and make something to breack the fast for herself and the sleeping travler. She sits oppset the travler and as she prepapes the food she starts to sing softly.

Watching carefully, but hidden in the nearby bushes, the massive halforc durotan observed the cloaked figure emerge into the daylight. Slavers? But it was alone, and rarer still, was out during the daylight. Seeing that it was tired and plainly disoriented, he decided that it was probably a runaway, perhaps even a slave, and posed no great threat to his home.
Morglum hefted his doubleaxe, just in case, and the pround barbarian apporached the drow. He ignored the singing elf, for he knew that she was a travller, and although elves ahd always been repulsed by his mixed blood, they had never attacked out of malice.
Morglum Necksnapper, last cheiftain of the orcish Iron Claw clan and bastard relation to the noble Telryn family, regarded the stranger with a fierce pride. He had dedicated many years to battling the blackened elves, who were responsible for enslaving most of his clan, and kidnapping his mother and uncle. He had been born in their underground world, the child of two slaves. His body bore the scars of tentacle whips. Nevertheless, his sense of honour prevented him from attacking without question. He would so the drow, who held themselves so high above others, what honour and mercy meant.

Still sing very sotfly but ever opbservent, she sees a shadow moving in the bushes. At first she makes a grab for her sword but hesitates and goes for the nonvoileit approch. "Hello, I say would you care to beak the fast with me and my sleeping friend." She pause for a moment and then reapeats the message again in uncommon but adds "A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of Great Light. Come in peace and live beath the sun again where trees and flowers grow." She then said twice in both common and undercommon with her arms out on her sides with with her palms upMy name is Marenia. What good sir is yours?"

The halforc broke his cover, marvelling at the keen eyes of the elves. He stiffened and bore himslef proudly, but kept his bouble axe up at his shoulder in a nonagressive gesture.
'I am Morglum Necksnapper, warchief of the Iron Claw. As for your words of the world above, you had best say them to your sleeping so called companion, for he is a denizen of the underworld. Indeed, with a dorw and a halforc like myself, you keep very strange company for one of your kind.'

Taerdryn sits as still as if he were sleeping, but was instead watching the others' actions.....these two would be useful companions for his life on the surface. Slowly, deliberately, he raises his head and blinks as though waking up. Yawning, he stops in mid-yawn and looks at the others. "Ummm.....and who might you be?" Standing up, he slowly begins working the kinks out of his muscles with a flowing series of stretches.

"My companion, oh no I just found him laying near my clothes when I returned form my nightly pray and dance. And thought it best to make him some food to brack his fast.
Marenia haers the sleeping travler vioce and turns to look at him. She quickly intakes her breathe as she finds out the travler is a Drow. Her hands start to shake and the spoon that she was uesing falls to the ground as sudden memerios hit her all at once of being under ground and being very badly treated. She turns her head as a couple of tears fall down her face. Marenia lets out a sigh and turns her head back towdow the drow and in a slightly shaky voice said
"Welcom to the Lands Above , a rightful place awaits you on the Relmes Above, in the Land of Great Light. Come in peace and live beath the sun again where the trees and flowers grow." I see that you are drow. Why are you here? " Marenia gets up taking her sword with her. "I'm not going to ues it my fellow Drow but it does need to back in its righful place again." With that being said she puts her sword in the saccbre and hooks it on her belt.

Morglum, examines the dorw male, sizing up not noly his physical strength, but also any signs of clerical or magical trappings. The female seemd to be a cultist of Elistrae. At least they seldom caused the trouble of their underground brethren, though they were always suspect. He declares himself.
'I am Morglum Necksnapper, warcheif of the Iron Claw. I am the protector of this land against your kind. Perhaps we have even met once, when I toiled in the slave pits of your underworld city. Perhaps you have seen me despatch the umber hulks in the arena for your twisted amusement.'
He sighs, evidently remebering some past experience, snad strokes the long, jagged red scar across his chest.
'Yet I know too well what it is like to be one of a despised people when one seeks to do good. That is why I have not slain you as I have slain the slavers who venture from the tunnel at night. Tell me, darkling, who are you, and what is your business out on the surface?'

"Morglum, I think if he meant to harm us we would have been peppered with drow knouck out pioson. We should give him time to speak. Lets eat and talk." Marenia then bends down and gets some bowlsand started to ladle out some porage. "I hope you all like this it maybe a little sweet for you guys but it is good."

Morlgum sat down, emitting a low, rythmic growling. 'As it happens I was waiting for my own food, but I am not above sharing.
Just then a massive black warg emerges from the undergrowth, carrying in it's maw the carcass of a wild baor, which it dumps at Morglum's feet, before interposing itslef between him and the elves as would a guard dog, a strange sight indeed to anyone with knowledge of the beasts' usual habits.
'Stay, Gorfang,' chides the great barbarian affectionately tickling it's belly, 'These are friends.'

Dropping out of a tree, a pair of elves look at the other elf, then to the drow and half orc, the Crimson eyes of one narrowing. Turning back to the female elf, both bow, One speaking up. "Good morn to you, m'lady... We are the brothers Maelgrim," He points to his twin who is looking from first the drow to the half orc suspiciously, "And Maeglin, we are on a bit of a pilgrimage per sae. We heard your singing and thought we would come to see if we could join you." As he finishes, his brother's voice comes in his mind. ~Brother, do you think we can trust these three? She may have told the Half Orc that she was not the companion of the Drow, but she could have been lying.~ Looking at his brother, he gave a slight shake of his head. ~Brother, the priests trained me to never be suspicious. You may be suspicious of them, but I'm not. That's why I have you here to watch my back.~ Turning to look at the whole group, Maeglin chuckles. "Forgive my twin, he is always suspicious in nature."
Though Maeglin called him and his brother twins, Maelgrim an Maeglin look as different as possible. One wearing Brown and Green leathers with a brown hooded cloak, and long black hair. The otehr wore all black with a long black cloak. The one in black was the one with the crimson eyes, and flame red hair, a oddity in elves, while te other had green eyes, and black hair. "May my brother and I join you three for your meal?"

Morglum snorted, baring his great teeth in an expression of amusement, 'It seems that my lands have contracted an infestation of elves. Nevertheless, I've already been unwary enough to eat with a drow, so I can't see anything wrong with you joining us.'

" But course you both may there is pelnty to share" Marenia saids with a smile, "But you will need to get your own bowls I do not have enough for the two of you, sorry." Marenia looks at the elf brothers and is waiting for the rude commemts to start but still she smiles and thinks * I'm not the only strange elf here*
Marenia hands the brothre called Maelgrim her own bowl of food, " Here you can have my bowl I seem to have lost my appitite for now. You have pretty eyes and hair very unsale for an elf but still it is very becomeing on you. Do any of you including you Mr. Taerdryn have any good stories and would you like to share them please? She saids as she gets out some blank book and a pen and a ink pot

Looking at the bowl, Maelgrim nods his thanks, then chuckles as he hears the compliment. "Thank you." His voice is low, and somehow quite noble as he turns to look at the drow. Looking at his brother, Maeglin smiles. "I could tell the tale of the fall of Myth Drannor, but I prefer not to. When I tell the tale it brings up the memory of my father, a member of one of the houses that befriended Elminster, and was one of the few survivors of his house when the city fell." Shaking his head, he looked back up at the woman, then spoke a few words of magic even as his brother did. In the middle of the group appears five crystal goblets and a decanter of Elverquisst. "Anyone care for an early morning drink?"
