Input and output are two very different things. For example, hackers cannot, no matter how hard they try, use your monitor to see what's inside your room (at least, not without having physical access to the monitor, at which point they're already in your room). Monitor is for output only, it can't do input. This technology isn't like an ethernet or phone cord. It's more like a mouse inside your head. Hackers can't do anything to you using your mouse. It's impossible. Same with this chip. All it does is sit in your head and listen. The most a hacker could do is make it short circuit or something, but that's about as possible as remotely detonating a keyboard.
It's going to be a looooong time before we have to worry about hackers in our brains. The technology right now is just too simple. Yes, a hacker will probably take this thing apart as soon as he gets his hands on it, but he won't be able to do anything harmful with it because it's just too simple.
