I can't speak for anyone else,... but, for as long as my character can stay alive, I'm in this one for the long-haul.....

Hey Blade....you're still around, ya had me wondering. Ok, just need a check in by Iggy, Greghoul, and Shades (?).
Knowing who is most definitely in will help me determine how to continue the game. For instance, Greghoul, how's your save vs breath weapon....you just went directly up to the Garlic Golem's face...didn't you see what he just did to poor Gemstone? :laughing face:

Just to let everyone know, ol' Iggy's in this for the long haul, heheheh. Just wondering, would illusion spells fool the golem? Oh, the many possibilities of invisimability, heheheh... From what I've seen, the garlic golem's a bit too close for comfort to allies who wouldn't be able to easily evade one of Iggy's patented balls o' burning death. So, if the golem (or the witch if she's directly controlling the golem) is tricked by the fake Iggy, then hopefully that should get it to move into a more burnifiable position.

Iggy, to answer your questions, you need to find the thread on this site where I describe the Garlic Golem, since it's a new creation, it doesn't follow all the general rules of the golems in the MM manual.
Think of it as a treasure hunt - lol.

hehe, found it
The Garlic Golem
Frequency: Very Rare # Appearing: 1 Climate/Terrain: Any Activity Cycle: Any Diet: Nil Intelligence: Non (0) Treasure: Nil Alignment: Neutral AC: 5 Movement: 8 HD: 5 THAC0: 15 # of Attacks: 1 + Special Damage/Attack: 1d6 + Special Special Attack: See below Special Defense: only +1 or better weapon hits Magic Resistance: Special Size: Medium (7’ tall) Morale: Fearless (19-20) XP: 1400
The Garlic Golem is a mass of garlic and water, roughly humanoid in shape. It is created with the use of a gem that contains the trapped spirit of a water elemental, animate object, control plant and command spells, unholy water, and bulbs (5-10) of garlic. The gem becomes embodied within the creature’s chest or forehead during creation, and the elemental’s will is enslaved to the golem’s creator.
Combat: Once/round, the golem will breathe out a stinking cloud (putrefied garlic stench), in addition to its normal attack. Victims, within a 40’ diameter, must do a save vs. breath weapon, or the victim is overcome by the stench, allowing the golem to then use its normal attack. The golem will touch or hit the victim, which is equal to mummy rot, which can only be cured via a cure disease spell. The victim must roll a 1d6 to see how many days the rot will spread before killing the victim. To bring the victim back to life, raise dead and cure disease spells must be used. Cure wound spells have no effect on the victim.
The Garlic Golem is immune to poison, and cannot be effected by hold, charm, fear or other mind based spells. Fire spells and cold spells will do 1d3 damage/round, dependent on the spell’s duration, as will natural fire.

As per my last post to the game thread, since Gemini can't actually move, Gem will keep trying to do so, untill she can....
How long exactly does the paralysis from the golem last anyway?...

Since Gem was next to the cauldron, and got the breath weapon dead on.....she is paralyzed until the golem is destroyed. However, she does have to worry that the golem will not see her, and therefore, do his touch attack.
Greghoul, your character was touched, so besides being paralyzed now, you also have to worry over the "rot".
Avana, Iggy and Crista are the only ones who can fight the creature now....and I really need to post.

I need to roll a 1d6 to see how many days before you die. You won't know you have it till I make the symptoms known.
Don't worry over it.....there is that scroll with cure disease spells around somewhere.

Out of curiosity, is Jojo, I mean Juju still hanging around the area? If he's still invisible somewhere, Iggy's going to ask him to impersonate the witch's voice to give the golem bogus commands.
That should confuse 'Ol Garlic Breath. Heheheh. But would it even work? If tricks aren't the thing, I suppose a few old fashioned fireballs should do the trick.

TO EVERYONE:
Hey guys,... and ladies... I'm not really sure how to put this... So I'll try to be stright forward with it... I just wanted to let everyone know that my father passed away last friday (july 30th)... Due to personal and financial problems I need to cut off my internet for a few months...
It's been fun playing along with this thread, but I'll only have an internet conection for a few more days before I have it turned off...
There is a chance that in a few months I may have it turned back on, but that isn't certain...
TO LWW:
I'm not really sure how you want to proceed with this... If you want to remove my character, that would probably be the easiest way... If you would rather my character be detained, or have to leave for some reason or another, that would allow me to return latter if I get my internet back...
I need to know how you'd like to handle this...
Sorry to be so much of a headache for you...

hey Gem, thats real sad to hear and my heart goes out to you, but I'm sorry to say that you probably didnt need to mention that you where leaving since the RP has ground down to a halt once again I have a suggestion LWW to deal with Gem's character, it is very simple and most of the time over looked, poison. poison her some how and have her pass out, since we only have the cure desease scrolls and I'm fairly sure no one has an antidote, that could keep her in the game, but incapacitated and ready to fight as soon as the internet is back up
