The man knew the other person and he was not a friend or relative. The man shot himself in the head because of what happened to the wood/sawdust, which was caused by the other person. The room was a bedroom, but the wood/sawdust was not a statue or piece of furniture. The other person was in the room before he commited suicide, but not during or after. Yes.
Did the man see the other person in the bedroom? No.
Did they have an argument? No.
Did the wood/sawdust mean something to the other person? No.
Was the wood/sawdust something of value? No.
Edit: Whoops! Sorry, read one of those questions wrong. I corrected my answer.

Was the wood/sawdust a picture frame?
Was the man old?
Does the other person have anymore relevance to this case besides causing the damage to the wood/sawdust?
Did the man know who caused the damage to the wood/sawdust?

Was what happened to the wood/sawdust caused by an accident?
Was something damaged to cause wood/sawdust?
Is the wood/sawdust relevant to what it was before?
Was the other person an employee in the home?
Did the man know the other person was in the house?
Did the other person know the man was in the house?
Were any tools involved in what happened to the wood/sawdust?
Did the other person do anything illegal?
Is there another reason why the man wanted to commit suicide besides what happened to the wood/sawdust?
Was the man married?
Did he commit suicide in the morning?
Did he commit suicide at night?
Does the wood have something to do with the mans line of work?
Did the wood/sawdust have sentimental meaning to the man?
Would he have commited suicide anyways if the wood/sawdust had not of been damaged?
Was the man terminally ill?
Does the man have any children?
Is the wood relevant to his children?

Did the man make what the wood/sawdust was?
Was it a burglery in progress?
Did the other person hear the man come in the house and hurriedly leave the bedroom, causing the damage?
Did the man hear the damage when it was done?

You're close... unfortunately the last few pieces you have to figure out are the hardest parts. Once you get them, though, everything should fall into place. Keep trying. Did the man make what the wood/sawdust was? No.Was it a burglery in progress? No.Did the other person hear the man come in the house and hurriedly leave the bedroom, causing the damage? No.Did the man hear the damage when it was done? No.

The pieces you are missing that will make everything clear have to do with the man himself. Ask more questions about the dead guy.

Is the dead man's facial expression relevant?
Is the dead man's clothes relevant?
Is the dead man holding anything?
Is the dead man face down?
Does the dead man have anything on his person that's relevant?
