Bariel skillfuly leaded the heroes through the forests and plains of Celene, and they encountered no resistance from Demonic Wizard's forces. Was it due to Bariel's exception skills of a scout, or for some other reason, the heroes didn't know...
After a month of travel, the heroes found themselves in the base of Lotmil Mountains, with dark fortress of Demonic Wizard's general in about six hundred or so feet away in the plains. But the rocky landscape around them provided the heroes with an excellent cover, and it seemed, that nobody have noticed them so far...
It is already an evening, but the heroes still have to wait for Ariel's Windriders and for Major Nirenn's Spectrum Force to attack...
[OOC:] Please, feel free to post what will you be doing until then. I will post when the night will fall, and when the attack upon enemy fortress will take place. [OOC:]

Amy looked over their new surroundings, the month together had been an eye opener to the monk, she hadn't spent so much time with others for years. The last time she recalled being with such a close group of heroes was at the monastary....
~My brothers and sisters.....I pray that you are safe in the god's protection, keep them safe so that I may fight for their sake.~ She silently prayed.
The new weapon she had recieved from Princess Ariel had become like it were her own masters which she had lost in battle that day. The gentle yet powerful movements were translated through the quaterstaff with ease, and served her well.

Challenger looked out towards the enemy fortress looking at it with a generals eye looking for weakness' probable concentrations of troups and areas that looked like traps.
"Well if nothing else it should be an impressive fireworks display." He muttered to himself considering Spectrum Forces expected attack form. It was the wizards ability to deal with that attack Challenger intended to judge their oponent by.
[With luck he won't do any better than the last two buggers.] he thought grimly.

Back against a tree, Koriisa stood very still except for wiggling her toes in the new boots. She looked out at the fortress. Although they fit "perfectly" she still felt cramped in her footwear. The hair on top of her feet itched and she was sure it would take hours to work out the matting and tangles once they had a chance to rest. She hated not being able to feel the ground beneath her. She was growing used to walking this way, but she still did not like it.
With the cloak pulled tight around her and the hood drawn low over her pale face, the little halfling-blood blended in nicely against the woods. Even her companions sometimes had to look twice to determine where she was. "Should we do a little scouting to determine the best point of entrance?" she whispered to the party.

"Little point." Challenger said without turning round. "Its too late to make any changes to the plan and if we go scout we could be out of possition or worse in the line of fire when the others shows up. Anyway we're going over the walls anything we could see from close up we can probable see from here better anyway."
"Anyone got a glass?" He asked suddenly.

"Not I," said the half-dragon.

I agree, Challenger. It is perhaps best if we hold our positions. said Nirenn However, I do plan to give intelligence reports to my right hand man before they commence the attack, so anything that your elven eyes can see that deals with troop positions would be useful.

Terren leaned against a large rock and stretched his wings under his cloak. He longed for a chance to feel the wind beneath them again. The last month had been frustrating. Every day was full of the anticipation of the nearing battle. The fate of many rested on the success of this operation. If he should in any way fail, it would be disasterous. Big half-dragons are not built for stealth. He could only hope that he would find a way to defeat this general. After that, he could join the main battle and make use of his greater abilities. Until then, all he could do is be careful.
Returning to reality, "I have no glass. I usually fly for reconaissance. But I doubt that that would be wise in this circumstance."

Blaize-Blain nodded. He felt very antsy and wished to fly, but he had another version of recon he could do.
"I have just the spell for seeing what is hidden from us. It is the same as my dragon name, Arcane Eye, but it will take me ten minutes to get it ready. I will be able to send invisible sensors inside. I will cast them unless you have any other ideas of which we could use them."

"No!" Koriisa snapped at Allesandro, her head swinging around to stare. It sounded like a yell compared to her earlier whispering, though it was still quieter than normal speech. Throughout the trip she had avoided the other half-dragons. This is the first word she's said to either of them in a month. "No magic," she said more quietly. She looked back at the fortress. "They might sense it."

Terren stares at Koriisa. "So you do notice us. We really need to get everything out between us. We can't work together with this apparent problem you have with us."

"I don't have a problem." She never looks away from the fortress, and it's clear from her tone of voice that she doesn't believe her own words.

I believe that our foe has reduced his magical defenses in lieu of concentrating his power on building up his army. However, such an overt use of spying would very likely go noticed, and I don't think that we should take that risk. However, since he is not expecting invasion, and probably has good faith in his perimeter guards to keep him safe from physical threats, perhaps Blaize-Blain should perform some aerial scouting. suggested Major Nirenn I can't see any aerial patrols, so it should be safe as long as you're invisible. Can anyone cast such a spell?

Alessandro ignored the two's arguement. He has had many half-dragons dislike him for no reason all of his life. He could deal with this.
He nods towards Nirenn, "I have wanted to fly for quite a while I'll get on it right away." He drops his equipment except his sword and cloak over by a tree. He then pulls out a peice of leather from his component pouch around his waist and casts a spell. <Mage Armor> He then waits for anyone who might have the spell to cast invisibility on him.
((My AC is now 25 without sword wielded and 30 with it wielded.))

As Challenger studed the fortress, he assumed that the fortress wall were about ninety feet tall, and were made of dark gray stone. The fortress itself raises about thirty more feet above the walls, though it is unclear how it is connected with the walls. Upon the walls, Challenger saw some kind of figures; though he couldn't see them well, he got a feeling, that they were much larger then average humans.
