"Is my presence required now? I was under the impression I wouldn't be required immediately."
[Ok I'm going to leave the call up to you Jas, I said I'd watch your back through this and I don't mind running to and fro, to do so.] Challenger told her telepathically.

I don't think the Shadovar will do something to me here, it wouldn't be viewed well by allies. Jastra left with Hadrhune.

Hadrhune returned shortly and stood in front of Challenger.
“The most High will see you soon. The war with the phaerimm occupies his time. He is interested in your views.”
Hadrhune’s staff rose as though he might strike Challenger

Challenger didn't so much as flinch at the movement.

Moving more slowly, he waived his staff over their heads and aimed the tip at the gate, where a dark haired woman dressed in the robe of the Bedine desert people was attempting to sneak into the courtyard.
Galadon looked at her and could only see her eyes. Since she had her veil up over her face.
“You there.” Hadrhune said. “Do you know what we do with thieves in this city?”
She drew herself up straight “From all I can tell, you harbor them.” She spoke common without a trance of Bedine accent. She locked gazes with Hadrhune and crossed the courtyard
“I am looking and found the one who is in the company of these people.”

And you now keep the company of theif and a murderer, unnamed one. Oh yes I was told of your crimes against your own people and why you are exiled. You knew from the start who I was, why the need to hide who you are unnamed one. Selinah turns to Hadrhune. You respect the Most High one. Would you hear the words of the unnamed one who not only disrepect any noble but commit's crimes against his own people's nobles?

I was sent to find the Barbarian named Horrad. For murdering the guardians of the evil Cyrinishad, and theft of that same foul book.
Selinah noticed a slight expression on Challenger. She smiled.
That's not like you to make a silly mistake unnamed one. You didn't know you was in the company of a thief and murderer. I guess you lowered your standards assassins not so bad anymore.

Outright hostility was now vissible in Challenger's eyes.
"The name is Challenger, or Gibson if you prefer. I don't hide my identity, what I choose to call myself is my business."
Challenger's right hand slipped down to his belt. He was plainly ready to fight here and now.
"And all this is all preity high talk coming from a proven murderer of innocents. Prehapse you'd like to explain yourself and the charges you lay. Lets start from the top and leave nothing out."

Hadrhune pointed the tip of his staff at Challenger and then Selinah, he returned the staff to his side. Challenger noticed quickly he could not move.
"We in the Shade Enclave do not form opinions without hearing the stories on both sides. This appears to be difficult at the present time and your argument is between you two and doesn't concern the Shade Enclave. We will not violate our guest ward. The barbarian Horrad has committed no crime here. He is free to stay or leave. While guest are in the Shade Enclave they are protected from being killed or captured. The same law that protects Horrad protects you." Hadrhune looked at Selinah.
"And if something unfortunate should befall either of you, we will know whom to execute." Hadrhune walked out of the courtyard. When he was out of sight Challenger could move again.
