Dragging himself over to the Wyvern, the stranger steps on its neck and pulls out his wand. Looking down at the wyvern, he sighs and says, "Well, I guess you'll be dead before dawn." and pulls both triggers.

Ignoring the bites and scratches of the dragon wannabees, Mako grabs the next to attack by teh tail and swings it at the other as it comes at him, all the while making his way to the girl he burned to near death while attacking the mage. Dropping one of two matching flasks he takes from his belt. Drinking the contents of one he is cured of some of his wounds.
Go on. Drink it. I may be fierce, but I will not attack a downed warrior with such base trickery as a poison. There is no honor in doing such a thing

The stranger's wand barks and the magical charge blasted through the wyvern's head, killing it instantly.
Mako grabbed at the next wyvern by its tail, but aimed a bit high, and allowed it anough leeway to inject its 2 foot long sting deep into his arm, causing him excrutiating pain both from the wound and the black venom pumping into his system. Mako launches one wyvern at the other, but collapses to his knees as the venom begins to take effect. He crawls over to he woman as his skin begins to blacken. However, Mako manages to save himself by drinking the potion, which suddenly revitalizes him and restores the pallor to his skin. Feeding the other potion to the woman, he watches as the sanguinity returns to her face and her eyes pop open, as if she was suddenly rejuvenated. Still slightly groggy, she manages to get to her feet with some difficulty.
Thank you... she whispers.
Dropping to one knee from pain, she stays there, recovering her strength.
You... CONVERTED one of my thralls? screams the Dark Knight, moving to the edge of his seat in outrage There is no pity, mercy, or helping in the Arena of Death! Meh... I should've supposed that you would take pity and that she would beg it... stupid mortals. We'll see how well your consciences last once we get up to round two!

Upon ending his bow and asking his question he begins to tap his foot impatiently and asks the question again, this time with an undertone of annoyance.
M'lord, may I or may I not set up shop in your arena?

By all means, do. Powers know how much my thralls are in dire need of Vitamin C. We could always use a melon shop. says the dark knight Would you consider employment with me? Feeding and caring for the monsters, etc. and ultimately attempting to kill these invaders until they get tired of dying? Don't fear for your life either, we have ressurection circles, after all.

To trust this knight of darkness or not... hmmm.... what the hell, it's not like I have anything to fear.
M'lord, I shall accept your most gracious offer of employment. Now if you will give me a minute I will have my shop set up.
He pulls his cart over to a wall on the arena floor. Once he reaches his destination the melon merchant rummages through the back of his cart and pulls out a sign and sticks it in the ground. The sign reads, "Shop of the Marvelous Melon, customers welcome, all others should buzz off. This is a business, not commons."

Raekk psioically dimension doored to the ground. These wyverns were a hell of a lot smarter and toghther than any others he had encountered on his multiplanar journeys. It did help that he had enlarged it either. In preparation the the inevitable dive, he started a ray of enfeeblement with an aim to making it too weak tof ly.

Seeing both himself and the girl re-invigorated and healed by the magical cure-all, he turns to the woman. Better now? I am Mako, guardian of the maze. I take it I am no longer in my home. What is the point of this foul acccursed place? Looking around as he speaks to the woman, Mako realized that there is a rather small mage about to be landed on by a rather too large wyvern. Grasping his axe's shaft he hurls it across the arena at the wyvern. It's bat wing shape seeming to carry it faster than should be possible towards the beast's heart.

Raekk's ray of enfeeblement hits easily, and the bloodied and dying wyvern plummets to the ground... directly above the mage. Mako's axe flies through the air, embedding itself deeply into the dragon/wyvern's skin, and killing it instantly. However, it did not slow the beast's fall. The large monster fell directly onto Raekk, crushing him with its 2000 lb mass and snapping every bone in his body instantly. A mass of flesh and skin oozes out from under the wyvern's dead form, showing that Raekk was indeed slain.
Two magical rings appear at the edge of the arena, encased in a silvery light. Raekk's form slowly reconstructs between the two rings as their internal magics take effect.
The woman speaks to Mako
I am Elena, warrior-mage of the Mercykillers she says, thankfully It is good to meet fellow fighters, but I must confess lack of any knowledge of this place...

Looking at the splattered prehistoric meat head under the great flying newt, the stranger grins, "Groovy."
He wanders over to the melon stand and says, "Hey, you. Dark ages dork. How much fer one of yer melons?"

Grabs a melon and begins to walk over toward the magical rings.
Well sir Raekk, it appears as if you are the first to experience the powers of resurrection here in the arena. Such an experience has surely left your energy drained. Might I suggest a marvelous melon to help you recover? Only 2 cp a piece.

That had to hurt. Wonder if he remembers getting squished? Well, at least the beasts do not come back through that way. Turning his attention to the third and final wyvern, as his axe's magic brings it back to his hand in the blink of an eye, he readies himself for what may come next. Dark Knight. I know you not, but seem to be stuck here in your palace of death and destruction. So I must ask you a question. Is there a goal to this wanton ruin, or are we all simply here to amuse you? Turning back to Elena, Something tells me you'd better ready yourself. I don't thik this combat is over yet. And I could use a good blade on my side in this mess.

Hearing the squeak of wheels, Ocean returns her gaze back down to the arena just in time to see someone enter with a wagon, which looks to be loaded with melons?
She then notices the actions of Mako to save both him and the downed female warrior.
Jumping as the dark knight bellows in his wrath at the minataur's actions
She continues to watch, her hands covering her mouth in shock, as Raekk is smashed into a gelatinous mass by the falling wyvern.
Watching in fasination as he is reconstituted within the rings.

(OOC - Shura, please put down a description for Raekk in the Brainstorm thread)
(OOC - Ocean, same for you)
The final wyvern, damaged and outnumbered, flies high into the sky and disappears from view, apparently retreating.
There is no point in you defeating him. It would not be a piece of art to watch and admire - merely a single stroke of color. says the Dark Knight Now that you're all warmed up, lets have some fun
Two portals open at opposite ends of the arena, through one end lumbers 7 horribly misshapen humanoids with blue skin, sharp eyes, and a multitude of strange weapons slung across their back. The humanoids grunt eerily and fan out, each pulling a different weapon from their backs.
Through the other end steps two tall, broad wormlike entities, each clothed in huge robes. They each have a pair of arms that end in small claw-like mouths, and a huge, heavily toothed maw in place of a face. They do not appear to have eyes, but stay together nonetheless, facing you off.
