Heh. Sorry about the no answer.
We're playing on DEV III since I am still not confident in my ISP.

Hey guys. Great game today. Well done all of you. Azz, thanks for explaining why you were late. It's appreciated and no worries. Same to you Turjan. Something that did come out today kinda disturbs me though. Colour posts and in character comments NEVER bog the game down. I will never ever complain about in character comments. As far as I'm concerned, all open posts should be "In Character" as much as possible. Even during planning sessions such as we had for about 1/2 an hour or so before the game started should be in character. There is really no reason for out of character comments other than for a laugh on occasion or when something goes sideways like todays earthquake. If you are currently experiencing an earthquake, hurricane or other force of nature, I will forgive ooc comments. On top of this, I would like to comment about the number of questions regarding my rulings. Ok, I admit I'm not perfect. There's lots of stuff I'm shaky on. When I don't know, I will ask. However, I am right in most of my rulings. Not all, but certainly the majority. I think in order to reduce the number of times I'd like to pull out one of my eyes, I'm going to insist on the following: If you think I am making a mistake AND that mistake could very well kill a character, then bring it up. Ask and I shall try my best to answer. Otherwise, if it is not a life or death situation for a character, write down your question, or go through the transcripts afterwards and start up a thread here or on the 3e board detailing the problem. For the most part, I know what I'm talking about, and, even when I don't, I'm pretty close to what should happen when I fudge it. Take the grappling thing at the end of the session. Grappled opponents are NOT prone. Nowhere in the grappling section does it mention that grapplers are prone. Watch a hockey fight and you will see two non-prone grapplers. Also, since the serpentman was grappling with his Improved Grapple feat and using his tail to grapple, not his arms, he did not have to drop his scythe. Note, he could not attack with the scythe while grappled, that is true, and he didn't, but he also did not need to drop his weapon to continue the grapple.

Got it. I will try to stay in character as much as possible. I think the more in character we play the more we will enjoy the game in the future.

Coolness Cos. No problem. Just because someone else's game is more important than mine Heh. No worries. There's a number of issues that need wrapping up and finished off before you head back to Mithril, and there are a number of things to do in Mithril too before planning your next caper.

Sorrey for not showing up at all, but if it makes you feel better, I missed my Deadlands game too. An old friend that I hadn't seen in ages dropped by, so my day was taken up with that. Sorrey again.

You really should read the other threads bud. Heh. The game was cancelled this week due to the addition to my family. So, I didn't miss you. Heh.

Hey guys, btw, can someone please give me an idea as to what order you would like to pursue various goals or which ones you are not going to pursue? It makes preparation MUCH easier when I have at least a hint as to what you guys intend to do next session. Thanks

OOC
I was interested in pursuing an adventure while we wait for the annual bloodsea storms to subside. I favored investigating the wizard who had locked himself inside a building in Mithril. Later I think we should talk to the head of the customs house to try and get more information on his missing friend. Perhaps once we return to sea, our initial voyages could be in area near to where we think that friend could be located? Possibly experiencing sea adventures as well as recueing the missing friend.
I think that we can refit the ship by posts since we have approximately 5 game months or so to do it in. Surely that is going to be several weeks if not months of real time if we do some adventuring.
I really need to adventure if I am expected to be captain. I need to level up to get the captain's feat and I should pick some skills that are more nautical in nature. Plus the extra gold would be nice as well to buy equipment, weapons and armor.
SO FAR I NOTICE THAT NO ONE (other than the DM) HAS POSTED ANYTHING ON SHIP'S EQUIPMENT. IF WE ARE TO GET A HANDLE ON WHAT WE HAVE AND WHAT WE WANT, WE NEED THE INPUT OF THE GROUP. PLEASE POST WHAT YOU KNOW IS ON THE SHIP.

As for the stuff on the ship... uhhh... I dunno, as for adventuring plans, I was interested in that mad wizard to the south, "Beastmaster" or something i think. And i also need some XP to make all your weapons and armor with and to make some other stuff too.
And Hussar, any idea on Improved Familiar yet?

Heh, been up to my eyeballs getting stuff done around here with my folks here. Haven't even had a chance to crack a book. It'll be a while before I will either. In other words, I'll get back to you.
If you guys want to check out the wizzie's tower before the storms end, that's not problem. If you want to get to sailing ASAP, I can accellerate time pretty easily too. Either way is fine.
The Beastmaker bugged out over the sea and has not been seen by anyone in Mithril since. That will require you to sail to chase him. If you want to do that first, I'll just have the winter pass uneventfully and go right to sailing.
So, basically, unless you are going to check out the missing wizard's tower, I'm going to advance the timeline about three or four months and start from there. Whichever you want is fine.
BTW, you don't NEED the captaining feat to be the captain, it's just nice. Someone taking a leadership feat along the line would be an idea too since that means that your crew wouldn't bugger off after each time you split the take.

Y'know, Kelly, Cos, since you two have shown the initiative here and come, why don't you guys simply decide what should be on the ship and present the rest with a sort of a fait accompli. Don't worry about getting everyone's input. Kelly, you're the captain, be the captain.

Hey, if there's a game this week, there is a good chance that I won't be able to make it since I'll be working. I still have to check my schedual tomorrow.
