LINCOLN PARKMich. - The weekend death of a 1-year-old Lincoln Park boy is under investigation as a homicide, according to police. Jimmy Nelson's mother found him wrapped tightly in several blankets and covered by a sheet at about 3 a.m. Saturday, according to his grandmother. The boy lived in the Lincoln Park home with his mother, her boyfriend and a 22-year-old man who rents a room in the house, Local 4 reported. Police have taken a man into custody for questioning. Officers have released few details about the investigation. "There is no way that Jimmy could take three blankets, wrap them around himself from head to toe, in a bundle, put himself underneath a sheet on a futon bed with all the corners attached," said Kim Nelson, the boy's grandmother. Nelson said she wants police to find out exactly what happened. "I don't want the wrong person being accused of this to say that we have someone," said Nelson. "I want the truth to be known as to what happened after my daughter went to bed until the time that she found him." Lincoln Park police continue to investigate. The case could be presented to the prosecutor's office on Monday. God speed and Rest In Peace little friend.....

How sad, but hopefully they have a good crime scene unit that will ferret out the clues.
