Well My view on this is that is does not matter for it is legal in Nevada yet they still have street walkers which is illegal. So I think it does not matter either way
but what about you

Yes, those prostitutes wouldn't mind being legal, then you tell them they'd have to start paying taxes... which boils down to would they rather be harassed by cops or the government?

Untaxed labor is still illegal. Even if prostitution is legalized, they'll have to be organized into businesses (brothels) that maintain employees, adhere to quality standards, and pay taxes. Not belonging to one can be just as bad (from a legal standpoint) as selling black market goods.

Prostitution should be legal.
I think the concept is idiotic.
I can go to a bar meet a lady take her to my home or a motel, have sex with her. 100 Percent legal.
If I do the sae thing and drop her 50 bucks, I am committing a crime. At the risk of sounding uncouth and crude...
It's hers.... if she wants to make money from it then she should be allowed to. I mean there is no crime with having sex with 10 guys a night, but darnit if ya get paid for it your a criminal.....
If we legalize it, then we cut down on disease because these ladies will be more willing to get medically checked if its accepted and legal. Issue health cards... Make HIV, HepC, and other disease testing mandatory...... In other countries they do this and HIV is actually down.........
Also yes the Gvmt can even collect taxes then......
