A rainbow of flickering colors dances across the night sky. Turning, you shamble off into the jumble of cloud towers amid the glow. With an effort of willpower you float over the gaping chasm of softrock and steel. Your large, webbed feet paddle the air slowly. Suddenly, you detect a dim mind signal. Your antennae seek its direction. Knights of Genetic Purity! Quickly you unholster your weapons, all four arms moving in smooth harmony. Tracing the cryptic symbols of the ancients on its etal skin, you awaken the sun bolt gun. If the air currents stay strong, you might make it across the chasm before the Knights arrive. Tame the wild frontiers of Gamma Terra in the GAMA WORLD post-holocaust science-fantasy game!
- Play a pure strain human or a mutated human, animal or plant with wild and unique powers.
- Find and master the artifacts of the ancients
- Survive encounters with the mutant horrors that stalk the land.
[glow=red,2,300]OK. I'll admit that I came into contact with this game in it's second incarnation, completely disliked the third edition, and came back to it in it's fourth (where the decription above comes from) in the early 90's. My question is simply this. Anyone else ever hear of the game?[/glow]

Unfortunately, my only exposure to this game was three sessions of it under first edition rules. It may have improved greatly later on, but what I saw of it was far from impressive.

I was going to play a game someday, I would like to anyway. When I decide to play [who knows when] I will then talk about it...

Yep,
DnD and Gamma World were the mainstay back in school. We , like everyone else, were always trying to combine the two and then they came out with 'The Tale of the Comet' for DnD...oh the memories.
