got the sony playstation remote as a christmas station, and can't get it to work with my playstation.
Any ideas?

You do mean PS2, yes? If so, when was it made? The older machines had problems with the remote and with DVD playback.

i got an ideafirt swear at the broken thing then threaten it with destucktion check to see if it works if not then beat it with a pillow (let ti know whos the boss) check again if not then through it against a wall if not bust in many peices then check to see if it works if it doesn't then breack it in many peice leting it know what a peice of crap it is

How can you tell when it was made? I got mine 2nd hand. Usually, the information is on the bottom of the machine.

Did it come with a disc? Some remotes, need a file copyied onto your mem card from a disc. Also check the batterys. Thats as much as I can help.

I got a multi-tap/vertical stand/DVD remote combo off e-bay for my nephews for $40 bucks or so. It works great and saved over $50 by not buying the Sony versions separate.
