My old poems from Planet:
So Far Away
I've become a ghost
They have burned away
What I used to be.
Those I loved the most,
They don't dare to say
That they betrayed me.
Behind my dull eyes
There's a mass of hurt feelings.
My eyes are open but they do not see.
It's not a surprise
The costs of dirty dealings
Have finally caught up with me.
When you are here with me
Are you sure you can't tell
That I'm so far away,
I'm longing to be free
From my personal hell
But I'm so far away.
Epithemus (Afterthought)
Take the thirsty man down to the ocean
Water everywhere but he can't drink.
Load the cannonball in to the pistol
Why must you always act before you think?
You go and steal fire from the Gods on high
But forget to put it into the tree.
Now I know that your heart's in the right place
But for some it's not that easy to see.
Oh why is it always the same story?
You know that I will love you anyway
Misunderstandings, mishaps, and mistakes
But I guess with you it's the only way.
Mead in the drinking horn
To the tune of 'Whiskey in the Jar'
As I was going raiding
Across the northern mountains
I saw the Paladin Farrel
His money he was counting
I first produced by braodsword
And then produced my battle-axe
I said 'Stand and deliver!'
'Or Orcus he may take ya!'
I took all of his money
And it was a pretty copper
I took all of his money
And brought it home to Helga
She swore that she loved me
No never would she leave me
Orcus take that wench!
Yeah you know she tricked me easy!
A ring da ma du da ma da
Rock for my daddy-o
Rock for my daddy-o
There's mead in the drinking-horn
Mead in the drinking-horn
Beaten, drunk and weary
I went to Helga's chamber
Taking Helga with me
But I never knew the danger
Over our bed with his sword drawn
There stood Paladin Farrel
I strung my mighty longbow
And killed him with one arrow!
A ring da ma du da ma da
Rock for my daddy-o
Rock for my daddy-o
There's mead in the drinking-horn
Mead in the drinking-horn
Some men like the theiving
Some men like spellcasting
Some men like to hear
Like to hear the dragonsbreath roaring
Me I like fighting
Specially 'gainst Paladin Farrel
But now I'm in a dungeon
Here I am with a ball and chain yeah!
A ring da ma du da ma da
Rock for my daddy-o
Rock for my daddy-o
There's mead in the drinking-horn
Mead in the drinking-horn
Regret
Soul of a poem
I had to roam
I had to hurt you
Had to disgrace you
So you broke free
Away from me
I had to lose you
Had to refuse you
Alone I'm dead
Losing my head
I need to see you
I need to feel you
Falling from grace
I see your face
I need to hold you
I need to taste you
So out I ride
Search far and wide
Say that you miss me
That you forgive me
So Far Away
I've become a ghost
They have burned away
What I used to be.
Those I loved the most,
They don't dare to say
That they betrayed me.
