I uninstalled BG:II but the registry says it's still there. Now it won't let me re-install the game, can i delete it from the registry? if so how? if not how else can i do this?

Sounds like you need a good registry cleaning program that will scan your registry and compare it to where the regiter points to see if the info is correct. You should be able to find one free at Downloads.com I got one and it helped a lot. (With the registry cleared of any unused programs my load speeds even increased a bit.) I'm pretty sure the one I got was from Toni Arts, but there are others out there. Have fun and good hunting

If you don't want to download anything and aren't afraid of diving into your registry, you can go to start, run, and type "regedit". Be careful, because you can really screw up your computer in here! Before you do anything, go to File, Export, and save your registry. You can restore it later if you screw something up royally.
Once you've done that, go to Edit, Find, and do a search for "Baldur" or "Baldur's Gate". Delete any keys that look like they have something to do with the game.
How did you delete Baldur's Gate in the first place, anyway? Did you use the uninstaller that came with it or do something else? I'm just curious.
