”If you have no need of me at the moment, Major Nirenn, I will take my leave as well, with you permission.” Drazeel says as soon as Leiton Ashwand exits the room.

Rill takes his leave of the room. Thinking of Des'starria's name, he uses his ring to summon her.

”Hay, I was with you all along.” Des’starria says with seductive amusement in her voice as she follows Rill out of the room, ”Honestly, I never thought I was so easy to miss.”

But then, remembering protocol, Des’starria adds, ”How can I be of a service to you, Major Nirenn?”

I've been tasked to enter a dragon's lair and deal with the inhabitants within. I recently trained myself specifically with the goal of castle infiltration, and so have not exercised the flexibility and short-circle movements that I need in close combat. Take me to the training fields and find me some targets. Live ones, preferably, but in either case, they must be moving targets.

â€It wouldn’t be as easy as you make it seem, Major Nirenn.†Des’starria says, â€If you know our kind, you know that we get… excised easily, and should you train with the rest of Leiton Ashwand’s troops, some accident is likely to happen. Mm… Why don’t you order Drazeel to train with you? He is a warrior of some skill, I believe, and he is highly uninterested in seeing you dead, whether by accident or no.â€

I need multiple targets. Small targets preferably, skilled in group tactics and with a variety of weapons. mused Rill Kobolds, goblins, or the like should suffice. Arm them with wooden weapons and I'll use my regular ones. That way, I can keep them alive, but still reserve the option of killing them should they get out of hand. Unless, of course, they are entirely expendable. he finishes with a smile

â€I regret to say that we don’t have kobolds, goblins or their like in the fortress,†Des’starria replied to Rill, â€Everybody here is a warrior or servant under General Ashwand command. And putting you against Dretches will only end in killing, which General Ashwand will not appreciate, and neither will Our Lord. Even the lowest of Dretches are suited for better things then serving as target practice.â€

After a pause, Des’starria added, â€I suppose you could have asked General Ashwand to create a magical simulation for you, but I don’t think he will appreciate being bothered at the moment. The only thing I can do is to leave a message for him, asking to give you an audience when it will be convenient to him.â€

That is unnecessary answered Nirenn, waving his hand Lead me to a magic user from the army powerful enough to summon goblinoids. That should be more than enough.

”I fear that while there are those who are capable of creature summoning here, you will still have to ask General Ahswand if you wish to use their services, Major Nirenn.” Des’starria says, ”You… Mmm… How should I put it?.. You are yet to gain any official rank in Our Lords armies… To put it simply, even though you are currently known as one of those who serve directly under Our Lord's command, few of those who serve under General Ashwand’s command will feel any obligation to assist you, unless it will suit their own interest. Currently, myself and Drazeel are the only ones who were ordered to follow your orders.”

If that is the only option, then I suppose Drazeel will have to be my sparring partner. Have him meet me on the training grounds outside. commanded Rill, walking away from Des'starria outwards of the castle.

A little less then half a minute later, however, Des’starria reappeared beside Rill, once again falling behind him.
