Alexia walked through the library into the vast halls of scrolls and maps, their footsteps resonated off the marble flooring. For a city they knew how to be extravogant.
She caught a few bows and kneels from officials every now and then and didn't pay much attention, she was getting angry about it slightly.
She looked around and approached the restricted section as though it were a normal part of the library.
No one objected.

Julian walks in silence, except for the heavy footsteps of his iron-heeled boots. He follows Alexia silghty to the left and behind from her. Dispite the appearance of peaceful atmosphere, Julian's eyes are slowly scanning their surroundings as they walk, looking for any possible source of danger.

Alexia approached a dragon scholar, and he immediately knew what she was after.
She bowed to him and took the maps thankfully, she turned to exit the great halls and put the maps into her backpack.

"Praise Shield Maiden, everything to be okay for now" though Julian, allowing his attention to be lax for a brief moment, then schold himself "Don't get lax, Jul! Concentrate! It is only beginning!"
Then Julian continued to follow Alexia, once again paying careful attention to their surroundings.

Stepping outside into the morning atmosphere of the city housing she sighed inwardly, and mounted her horse.
"Let us leave for the Cape Claw village. There is an inn waiting for us to stay the night, if we ride now we can make it there by mid afternoon in time for the last meal of the day."
~The nights are shorter now due to the coming winter, we must travel fast, and plus I need to write a letter to the city officials about the latest battle, and the second in commands to carry out my intructions upon leaving.~ She thought.

Julian, who came out soon after Alexia, quickly mounted on Tombjade, his chestnut-brown mare.
"I am ready to follow your lead, General Alexia" said Julian afterwards.

She nodded to Julian and waited for everyone else to mount their horses before riding off.
~I suppose what with his years of being a bodyguard he sees this mission as something to protect the group, but I want him to be as free and adventurous as the rest of us.~ She thought.

Mourne sighed as Alexia and Julian came out of the library, putting away the scroll he had been busying himself with. He seemed to have a new energy about him that defied reason... and his left eye had taken on a strange cloudiness as well. Seeing Foster give him a worried look, he shifted his Hitai-ate headband to cover it and hoped no one would ask him about it.

As Alexis exited the library doors Mialee had just returned from walking around the market.
~It's so peaceful around here you wouldn't expect Orcs to be attacking close by.~
She sighed deeply.
Foster came nudged her and she picked him up. His stomach was grumbling.
"Jkacc xidwuho?! Oei xut rokkoh xulo kxaj." (Still hungary?! you had better have this.)
She reached into her bag and pulled out a small piece of bread. She gave it to Foster who tried to devoure it in one mouthful.
She laughed as he tried not to drop any.
After he had finished she put Foster on the horse and then mounted.

Quietly Mourne scanned one of the scrolls in a hurried way, "Eye... Why is my eye..." he stopped suddenly and froze as he read the words.
~My gods... The Soul-Shard, Mirror-Wheel, Oni-Shin, and Tsunami eye are all forms of an ocular Ninjutsu that very few possess. These manifest as one ages, although it may become manifest if the bearer experiences rapid emotional fluctuations. Manifestation is a difficult process that may well kill the bearer, as such it is wise for a bearer to have a companion present during the night after it begins manifesting... Gods, I might be killed... tonight.

Mialee was about to follow the others when she turned around and notice Mourne acting strange. She rode up to him.
"Mourne....are you ok?" her voice trembled slightly "We are heading to the inn are you coming. We'll be able to eat and rest." She smiled at him not knowing what his reaction would be.
~Is he ok? what is wrong? he was in a good mood earlier.~ she blushed remembering what had happened.

He looked a Mialee and smiled, "I am alright Mialee-san, I just have a few internal difficulties..." Foster suddenly pulled off his headband revealing Mourne's eye had lost some of it's cloudiness, but now bore three black tear-shaped things swirling around his pupil. Mourne blushed and moved to put his headband back on...
~Now she will think I'm a freak... If I live through the night... She can help... Why would she?... Because she cares... She wouldn't stay the night with me... Can you be sure?

As Foster pulled off Mournes headband she saw his eye. ~Internal - i knew something was different about him. But why is he panicking?~
"Is there something you're not telling me?" She smiled ~I wish people felt they could tell me about themselves. Do i scare them off. There are things people aren't telling me.~
"Is it like that all the time?" She asked with a voice of concern.

Instead of putting it back over his eye, he slid it back into place on his forehead. He leaned from his saddle and came in close, his face only inches away from hers. "I could well die tonight... and I want you two know if i do, that i cared for you far more deeply than a shinobi should." he smiled and looked around, then seeing that no one was looking he slowly slid his mask down to his neck, fully revealing his elf-like cheekbones and the scar on his left jaw. "This is me, who I am. Comepletely and Fully revealed to you... now i am bound to you for the rest of my days." he said his face still barely an inch from hers.

"Die" ~what..! Noooooo. you can't~ she wanted to scream.
"Why?! Is there anything i can do to stop it!" She gazed into his eyes hoping the answer would be yes.
~Why does this happen to me i fall for someone whose going to die! No i must do everything i can to help~
