OOC - OK, here it is folks. The game is beginning. As I stated in the other thread I am having some computer problems right now so please be patient. Just a few notes that I wanted in the game thread. This is for IN CHARACTER discussion only. Please keep all OUT OF CHARACTER discussion to other threads. There will be times when only one character will know what is going on and during those times things will be done through PM. If you have anything you don't want the others to know about PM me. Make sure that all speaking is in quotes, this will just make things easier on all of us for the purpose of clarity. That's about all for now... Let the games begin...
**In character from this point forward...**
You are all summoned by the Sept Council. All have been with the sept for a short period of time and know that they do not call a council unless there is a major problem.
The council meetings are held in the old barn on the sept land. Even though it is a small barn all in the sept seem to fit.
Falleen steps to the center of the room. He is dressed impecably as usual in a three piece suit. "Welcome all. I am sorry for the short notice but in these times haste is generally a necessity. We once again find ourselves in a particular bind that will require immediate attention. Property belonging ot the sept has been stolen and its recovery is vital."
"What has been taken?" a voice says from the crowd. As you all look for the voice and you all recognize Randall Flagg.
"A spirit box that contained a minor incarna spirit that has the power to release a powerful Bane spirit known as Plague Bringer."
"Rumors," stated Flagg. "We were never able to confirm what was in that spirit box. Just because the Dancers are so interested in it doesn't mean that it carries The Green Storm."
"I know that the Green Storm is trapped in the box because it has been fortold to me by Claw."
"Claw, that Gural? You are going to trust his word?" There are mixed shouts from the crowd about trusting werebears. "We all remember what happened the last time that the sept went on a spirit quest that was forseen by Claw. We lost the caern. You of all people should know what happened."
"Claw is a great sage and knows about these matters. When my Grandfather was the leader of the sept Claw was able to advise him wisely."
"Yes, wisely to his death."
"That was unfair! If Claw hadn't sent the sept on the quest we all would have been wiped out and there wouldn't have been anyone left to reclaim the caern."
Suddenly a third voice is heard over the mumbling crowd.
"Flagg, Kell, stop your whining. I have an idea that will benefit all."
All eyes go to the shadows as Jonathan Shadow-Walker, an Uktena of the pack, steps seemingly from the the shadows.
"What is your idea Shadow-Walker? You don't believe Claw," Flagg stated.
"Actually I do. My people have known about Plague Bringer and battled him in the past. Those tribes from the across the ocean do not know the destruction that it caused."
"So you are saying we go after the Dancers?" Kell asks.
"Not the sept as a whole, but I do feel that our newest troupe of youngsters could be convinced to go on a recon mission so that proper action can be taken."
"WHAT!@!" exclaim both Kell and Flagg.
"They still need to quest for their totem. I have seen in visions that this is the quest that will help them on their way."
"You wouldn't be doing this because one of the whelps is yours, would you?" Flagg looks to (LWW).
"No, I am looking out for the sept. What do you think Fallen?"
Falleen looks to all of you before answering.
"If they would agree then I will as well, but it is there choice. This is a dangerous mission and I would not send them off if they did not feel ready? What say you cubs?"
The sept waits for your answers...
