For the swordsman thing, i would just make what he does a part of the perform skill or intimidate. or could make a feat that grants a bonus to either of those skills when wielding a blade. and as for the seer, psionics have a good flavour for that kind of thing, there's even a type of psion called a seer. if you don't have psionics, then make some spells or feats to duplicate what you want. if going with the feat options, be sure to make the preqs rather hefty if you don't want your PCs to take them.
For the swordman, i'm just going to make up a feat on the fly.
Swordplay (couldn't think of a better name
) [General]
Preqs: Intimidate or Perform(Dance or something else) 6 ranks, Weapon Focus with some type of sword.
Benefit: Using flashy moves you gain a bonus to your Intimidate or Perform check equal to half your BAB (or BAB or a fixed value). Using this feat increases the time it takes to use the skill by one full round (or not, at your discretion).
Special: A fighter may select Swordplay as one of his fighter bonus feats.
well, that isn't too powerful, has a decent ability, not to stringent preqs. I might make use of this.
. as for seer, like i said, psionics have some nice precognitive abilities, alternatly, you could divise a grouping of spells or domain to suit your needs. hmmm... lets try this:
FORSIGHT DOMAIN
Granted Powers: Once per day, you can gain supernatural insight to the actions another being might take in combat. You gain an Insight bonus to your AC equal to your cleric level, or an insight bonus to your attacks against one opponent equal to half your cleric level (Round up). In either case, the bonus lasts a number of rounds equal to your cleric level.
Forsight Domain Spells
1 Inkling: Might learn whether an action will be good or bad. (See below)
2 Augery: Learns whether an action will be good or bad.
3 Locate Object: Senses direction toward object (specific or type).
4 Divination: Provides useful advice for specific proposed actions.
5 Commune: Deity answers one yes-or-no question/level.
6 Scrying: Spies on subject from a distance.
7 Scrying, Greater: As scrying, but faster and longer.
8 Discern Location: Reveals exact location of creature or object.
9 Foresight: “Sixth sense” warns of impending danger.
Inkling
Divination
Level: Forsight 1
Components: V, S, DF
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
An inkling can tell whether a particular action will bring good or bad results for the caster in the immediate future.
The base chance for receiving a meaningful reply is 50%, plus 1% per caster level; the DM makes the roll secretly. The DM may determine that the question is so straightforward that a successful result is automatic, or so vague as to have no chance of success. If the inkling succeeds, the caster gets one of four results:
“Weal” (if the action will probably bring good results).
“Woe” (for bad results).
“Weal and woe” (for both).
“Nothing” (for actions that don’t have especially good or bad results).
If the spell fails, the caster gets the “nothing” result. A caster who gets the “nothing” result has no way to tell whether it resulted from a failed or successful inkling.
The inkling can see into the future only about half an hour, so anything that might happen after that does not affect the inkling. Thus, it might miss the long-term consequences of the contemplated action. All inklings cast by the same person about the same action use the same die roll result as the first inkling.
So there you go, a new spell, domain and domain power. your job is to work it into your game if you so chose to use it. when i designed the spell list, i focused on spells from the cleric list, while i thought that Inkling, a psionic power, would make a good first level spell and Forsight, a 9th level druid spell would make a good capper. and the domain ability is similer to combat precognition and combat divination, both psionic powers.
Well, i hope my work will help in your dilemma. If not, then i hope that someone else uses it cause i put maybe 15 mins into this
.
