She sighed out of annoyance as the creature got closer to her. "I deserve to live because I am alive. I've been through more in my years than many have ever dreamt of. Why should you not send them after me? There is none. My fate has already been set by the higher powers. If I am to die here, then there is no way around it. But if I am to die this day, it will be the biggest fight of my life."

The creature's face pulls slightly away and rises, looking down on Ssertzah as upon a child.
A paltry response, but I will accept it. The tail loosens against Ssertzah's ankle Your will to live is weak, Ssertzah of Sseth... you will not survive in Ribcage long without a more defined purpose. If a Blackguard soldier asked you what you were doing here, "the fates drove me here" will NOT suffice...
The creature's long neck cranes high over the crowd to look towards the door
Those Spectrum soldiers are no longer looking for you, nor will they recognize you again as their quarry. Beware the Blackguard, though... they will kill you without mercy. Go with purpose, Ssertzah of Sseth...

She looks back at him again, "Maybe you misunderstand. I have much purpose in life. However, all of my plans and duties with what I was going to do took place in another realm. I am pretty much out of my element and starting from scratch. I am relying on Sseth's will to show me my new patth. Until it is made more clear, I will do what I have to survive. I understand, however, when it is time to die, I will have very little say in it. and that my death will help some greater purpose. I am not planning on walking into a hostile situation and sticking my neck out to die, I will fight untl my last breath is taken from me."
She then stands up, pushes in her chair, bows to him, and heads on her way out into the chaos again.

The voice remained unconvinced.
If you say so... My name is Faniel. This establishment is the Viper Tree. Return here anytime you wish, but do not reveal my name to anyone.
With that, the creature resumed eating it's steak and completely released Ssertzah's ankle, allowing her to leave. The yuan-ti makes her way through the crowd easily and passes out into the street.
Unexpectedly, it seems that several hours had passed since she had stepped into the bar and the sky begins to darken as dusk sets in. The river of people that brought Ssertzah here seems to have died down, and the road is now quite easy to walk. A squad of large soldiers wearing the spiked, dark armor of the Blackguard pass by the front of the bar, oblivious to Ssertzah's presence. The patrols seem to be more frequent now, and the civilians on the street, even the armed ones, seem to be walking faster and staying on their guard.

She remembered that she was supposed to meet with Lexon soon, so she did her best to find her way back there. Not looking too rushed while she did so.

Ssertzah begins to walk down the road, retracing her steps as she was pushed by the torrent of beings earlier in the day. A lesser person would have been walking in circles for hours, but Ssertzah's uncanny perception lent themselves well. She stayed close to the side of the street, avoiding Blackguard patrols as she saw them, and remained innocuous. With all the unearthly and downright dangerous-looking people walking the street, it almost seemed a matter of time before one of them decided to give her some trouble. However, within 30 minutes, she managed to safely make her way back to the alleyway where Lexon took her.
The alley is as foreboding as ever. The darkening sky obscured the walls with an extra layer of shadow, making it seem as if they had disappeared and Ssertzah was walking between two black chasms. The alley was crooked and narrow, but not too far in the distance, Ssertzah could just barely make out two cloaked figures: one tall and powerful, the other short and stocky.

OUt of instinct, she put one hand on the sword and froze in place. Her mind was telling her that it was Francis and Lexon, but her body saw to covered figures and stayed in a defensive mode. She had been attacked too many time by people in cloaks to let her guard down.

Ssertzah crouches slightly, hand on sword, but the cloaked men seem to already have seen her. The shorter man extends an arm and beckons her to come towards them. The shadows in the alley shift suddenly, as if something had just passed overhead.

The Yuan-Ti approaches them, quickly, because something there was something going on that they understood that she obviously did not.

Ssertzah rushes over and see's Francis and Lexon's worry-lined faces, obscured heavily by the shadow. Lexon's countenance seems almost blanched, as if he'd been recently spooked. He turns away from Ssertzah, trying to avert his eyes as Francis approaches her. The short man tightly grasps the yuan-ti's shoulder and whispers loudly into her ear.
How are you, child? Are you being followed?

Ssertzah shook her head, "I had a few who thought I was someone else, but that situation was... averted."

<-- To Exile only -->
Good... replied Francis, nodding The last thing we need is MORE pursuers. We cannot stay here.
He turned back to Lexon and shot a knowing stare at the younger man. Lexon replied with a nod and ran further down the alley as fast as he could. Francis looked up at Ssertzah again and began to walk down the alley, slowly.
He's gone on to our safehouse to make sure we're not on a piking cakewalk. Come.

Spec immediately jumps to his feet surveying their surroundings, not even noticing the githzerai and Canderous landing behind him. He dusts himself off and buries himself in his cloak extra tightly now, taking special care to keep his face hidden. He glances back and up noting where they had exited from. As soon as the others have regained their composure Spec says to them,"Now we must locate this Relik Noren we were...sent here for." He glances back to their exit,"It seems we have lost someone. The girl-mage. That's what comes of being so loud." He says this last statement with no hint of concern in his voice.

K'Zan pulls himself to his feet and leans on his staff.
'And where, exactly, do you suggest we begin?'
He frowns and lapses into silence. Spec's domineering attitude is beginning to get on his nerves, though he is making some efforts to stop it from affecting him.

Canderous stands up, and brushes off his armor, and his partially exposed body from lack of clothing under it. He looks around for a second, cringing as he wished that he actually felt more safe.
