Basic Rules:
1) The game takes place in no-magic world!
2) The countries are all populated with normal humans.
3) Some non-existing animals (one kind of animal for each nation, which is also a national animal) may present, for as long as they are more or less ordinary, i.e. don’t have any magical, psionic or other supernatural abilities, and don’t have extraordinary intelligence (slightly smarter then dogs is as much intelligence as the smartest animals are going to have. If your nation have a non-existing animal as its national animal, please give at least some description on this animal.
4) Initially, the average technology level of the world is going to be ghtly bellow what we have in our world; think of the times shortly before the Second World War.

Technology Level
I’ll repeat myself, the average technology level of the world is going to be ghtly bellow what we have in our world; think of the times shortly before the Second World War.
However, naturally each nation is going to have slightly different technology level from the rest; it will be up to you to determine your nation’s technology level. However, try to be realistic here; for example, if your nation is fanatically religious, conservative or simply ruled by a psychotic dictator, it will likely have technology level bellow the world’s average, to a smaller or greater degree. And vice versa, if your nation is of the kind that encourage free and creative thinking, it is likely to going to have technology level slightly above the world’s average.

United Nations
Because the game effectively takes place in a separated world, I aks players not to make their nation join the United Nations from NationStates.

Population and its growth
Unfortunately, NationStates gives its nations’ population a very fast growth rate, 1 – 2 milions each (real) day; while the speed of our dealing with issues suggest that not enough time pass for our nations each day, and thus such population growth looks rather illogical for our nations. Moreover, should the nation be involved in a war, or suffer from a massive killing disease, its description at the NationStates naturally won’t refelct the loss of a nation’s population.
And because of this, it has been decided that each notion in this game will have customized population for the purpose of this game only. Each player sets the initial population (make it somewhere between 5 – 10 milions) for his or her nation, and I (being a GM) will regulate the speed of population growth (which naturally won’t be anywhere as high as the one of the NationStates).
I ask all players to update their nations’ descriptions, adding their nations’ population (for the purpose of this game, not the one from NationStates) as soon as they will be able to.
