For those of you who have played the game you will understand how the game works in terms of ammo finding and items.
Here I shall explain this for everyone as the rules for the actual games do not fully apply here, after reading 3 of the Resident Evil novels (which are brilliant by the way, a must have for any fan!) I will use the ammo system from the novels which is more realistic and accurate.
Eg:
In the first book all the characters are always concious of the amount of ammo they have, concerving ammo is a MUST, and you will have to 'dodge' certain monsters to keep your weapon with some ammo. However you can pick up ammo from time to time in the places where you are. You will however, need to search for them and also to search for clues.
Here's an exercise:
"Upon rushing through the corridor you entered the only open door into a small lit room. A oil lamp burining in the corner there are several boxes to your immediate left. There is also a pile of papers scattered on the floor in the top right corner of the cramped room."
What do you do?

You would then do whatever actions you deem necessary, eg
You should post something along these lines:
"Taking a look through the pile of papers, I also decided to open one of the boxes."
I would then post the findings:
It could be:
1. Upon searching through the papers you find a file on the latest B.O.W monster which is lurking around. [The file will now be posted up and you will have info on certain attacks and weak points for the creature, along with info on it's general habits and creation etc.]
2. Finding nothing in the papers except a few old reports of no use.
Regarding the box:
1. Upon opening the box you find anothe 9mm clip, fully stocked [15 bullets in a clip.] and also a dog whistle.
2. The box contains nothing.

Concerning the ammo business;
1. If you fire a shot, you lose a bullet. After a battle you will have to acknowledge how may bullets you have left and also how many clips or extra packets of shells etc. If you don't want to I shall do this for you, whatever is best...*thinks*...yup I think I should do the counting, and will post such things after a battle.
2. Misses can occur, depending on your skills and ability with a gun.
3. You can only hold so many guns and items, share the wealth if you have 100+ bullets and the person next to you in the same room has 0. And also make sure to let the person who has knowledge of science and herbs to have such items if you find them and then regroup with that person.
4. Aiming will improve as your character learns new skills and is an active attacker.
5. Do not expect to be able to kill a zombie on your first encounter if you have no knowledge of such creatures, but if someone was to inform you ie: "Shoot for the head." Isabelle screamed. then you could do so.
6. The amount of bullets to be fired to sucessfully kill a creature will be denoted by me, and I shall tell you at the end of an action you state whether or not it worked eg
"Firing twice at the creatures head....."
I reply:
"The first shot managed to tear away at the already broken jaw, with the second bullet destroying the head entirely." You now have 13 bullets left from a clip of 15.
