"Goodafternoon, and welcome to the first of a few informative meetings. All of you are representatives of your respective Umbrella duristictions and companies, and are to ask me any questions you feel are necessary during these sessions."Smiling she spoke once again: "I am Dr Isabelle Meyer and I apologise if I gave any of you any troubles waiting here for me."

Without wasting any time she flicked on the projector which in turn switched the lights off in the room, having only the projector illuminating the room. However Isabelle could clearly be seen as she stood sat at the front on a stool by the projector.
"You are all about to be privileged with a substantial amount of high security background knowledge, however your duristictions have chosen you above all else to understand and report back such information which is respective to your involvement with Umbrella"

She continued her lecture.
"The Umbrella corporation started with the Mother Virus which can modify genes; and so the founders began to develop a Human Biological Weapon from the Mother Virus, it was necessary to develop a variant of this virus wherein this property was enhanced. Hence the essence of the T-Virus project which you are all aware of."
"The Mother Virus is a type of RNA virus that has a tendancy to mutate the subject,...any questions so far?" She scanned the room as best she could to see if anyone had any questions on what she had just said.
She caught the eye of a Director who was smoking his cigar, and the one next to him who wasn't paying attention and instead decided to use this time to draw up a few calculations for budgets of his firm on his note-pad.
She felt hopeless, if they didn't understand the fundamentals how were they going to report back on the mechanism of the virus project and her research?
~I guess I'd get the blame,..~
If no one else has any questions, she will continue in a minute or two.
[N.B. Alex if you have no questions I shall continue. Thankyou, Regina.]

So far Alex could understand what have just been said moderately well, and he also considered being the first person to ask any question to be a sure way to attract some unwanted attention. And so, Alex didn’t ask any questions, instead he used the pause in Isabelle’s lecture to write down what Isabelle has just said about the Mother Virus and the T-Virus.

"Possibly there is a chance that some kind of more informal meeting could take place after this lecture." thought Alex, smiling inwardly, as he waited for Isabelle to continue her lecture.

"If you have any questions during this please voice them...don't mind about interupting." Smiling slightly she tried to make them see that she had good intentions about asking them if they were puzzled.
"The female specimen beta - is one in a small percentage of the worlds population about 10% of the total population which is immune to the T-virus, yet the decaded of experiments proved to alter the specimen gradually - however in turn there is no way to determin her genetic sequence...her DNA is completely resistant to all known Proteases, nothing can allow us to map her genes."
She paused, he words were careful. She didn't like this at all but she can't been seen to be againts Umbrella.
"My research would try and reproduce the events which led to cause female specimen beta to synthesise a new virus within her. However the records of her treatments are non-existant, and with us unable to read her DNA we have to start from scratch."

A representative of America interupted Isabelle;
"Dr Meyer, you know that Dr William Birkin theorised that if he could combine the Ebola genes with the mutated Mother Virus it would enhance it's uniqueness; why not turn your attention to something simple like this?"

"Dr Birkin was correct, yet it doesn't solve the original problem. If there is to be any progress this must be deduced first..I theorise that completeling another specimen like female beta...could in all rights allow new versions to evolve itself...just as the T-virus did and became the G-virus."
((Alex, feel free to post any reactions or thoughts whenever you like during this meeting.))

For now, Alex simply continued to sit quietly, writing down what Isabelle said about so-called female specimen beta, yet paying much lesser attention to an American representative’s question and Isabelle’s answer for it.

"Biological weapons were originally thought of as being quite a simple and cheap process,....yet during the years of Dr Birkin and Dr Wesker the real price limits were deduced,....you should all have a good idea on the expenses for my research; but if progress is to be achieved then cost muct be no limit,...otherwise another incident could occur." She spoke very cautiously,....and flicked the first slide into place on the projector screen, showing some stats on the Raccoon City incident, mostly deaths, attacks, mutations, costs to the corporation and also research gain.....which was 3%.
"In short incidents cause nothing but grief and damage to the population,...and hardly anything can be gained from it." She seemed to stir some emotion in a few representatives yet the directors still didn't seem to care much.

Continuing her slide show, a few images of some cells and their mutations in sequence were shown, and she stopped at the lat slide which pictured the moment when the T-Virus had fully taken over the cell.
"The actual process of the T-Virus will be explained in due time when you have decided on what course of action you will be taking in this experiment, however it shall be quite xtensive and results may not be gained for some time."
She saw some looks of concern on afew faces and sai:
"I understand that you may not think I am trying to get you to fund my research,...but I figure you would want to know the truth rather than some false hopes,.....if you rush my experiments, accidents will occur, just as Dr Birkin and Dr Wesker proved. Yet, my theory is pratically sound, granted there are a few variables but they shall be explained,......but my work will get results in time, thats all that you need to put up with; I can garuntee that if my work can produce new strands by mimicking and altering the process to create another specimen like that of female specimen beta new and more potent B.O.W's will be created."
She flipped the slide show again showing the following picture:

"The is one of the sucessful and in action B.O.W units, nicknamed Hunter."
She waited for people to take in the image they ahve just seen, it looked......terrifying.........
"A Hunter is a bio-weapon created by modifying the genetic structure of a human by combining genetic information from reptiles with injections of the T-Virus. It is named "Hunter" because of the quick, accurate movements it makes, and the efficient methods it uses to subdue its prey. Because they are still partly human, Hunters have enough intelligence to understand and execute simple orders."

At first, even Alex wasn’t able to fully hide his surprise and slight fright at seeing the picture of the Hunter. However then, Alex quickly regained control over his emotions, and put on his mask of calm confidence once again, as he continued to listen to Isabelle’s lecture…

”At least she seems to be truthful about what is going on, and this is certainly a good thing. Alex thought, as he continued to listen to Isabelle’s lecture. ”Also it may be just my imagination, but she seems to be somewhat uncomfortable about havoc and destruction caused by research accidents, and this means that she may be persuaded into cooperating with us.”
