Thinking such thoughts, Alex continued to listen to Isabelle’s lecture…

She continued her lecture and slipped the slide-projector again; "This is Tyrant-002, the first succesful Tyrant creature; A genetically enhanced human male injected with pure T-virus. Considered to be Umbrella's "Ultimate weapon", the Tyrant is over 8 feet tall, very strong, and can deal a great amount of damage when attacking. The Tyrant can also absorb extreme heavy damage, and is able to carry out tasks appointed, and will track it's target down no matter what the costs,....there is one flaw, the body seems to reject some internal organs and the heart of he creature is on the outersurface of the chest,...as you can see on the projection here." Isabelle wanted to scare the prossible funders into not wanting to join fund her research but it wasn't working,...many of the directors looked with awe,....most proabably calculating what corporate opposite they'd attack with a monster like this. ~What have I gotten myself into...~ She pondered,...though never letting her face to show the emtions of dispair and fear of her life being wiped out by making a mistake,...she could help rid the world of Umbrella but will someone ever help her do so? There are others like her, brilliant scientists who would rather oppose Umbrella than produde more filth for them.

Even though Alex was no less shocked from seeing another monstrous mutant, he was more or less prepared to see something monstrous once again, and so, he managed to keep his emotions inside, forcing his face to remain absolutely calm.

”Hmmm, I would rather expect to see such things in horror films then on scientific lectures.” Alex though. ”However, Dr. Meyer seems to know what she is doing, as her show definitely evokes some awe. Also if they are really creating creatures like these, I wonder what are they up to… Well, I guess, it doesn’t matter. This is probably for some professional agents to discover, not for someone like me. My job here somewhat more simple, and besides, should anti-virus be created, it would be a serious advantage against them, wouldn’t it?”

She stopped the slide projections leaving it on the last picture of the Tyrant,
"After showing you some it's work,...perhaps I should fully explain the T-Virus,....*She swallowed hard showing a slight sign of how disturbed even she was,....and it seemed as though no one really noticed her doing so.*....The Tyrant Virus, or T-virus, is a highly unstable agent that free mutates. It has the same properties as other Filoviruses in that it begins necrosis of the body at a rapid pace. The T-virus is highly contageous, but there is time to cure it before incubation occurs. In some forms, the T-virus is airborne, most particularly in pure liquid form. When transferred to the body, it no longer possesses its airborne properties, and transfers much in the same way that other Filoviruses are contracted: Through contact with the bodily fluids of an infected individual. Specifically, because of the most common mutation of the strain, the virus is passed along through bites or scratches which break the skin.
The most common mutation in human beings is a 'zombified' form. The T-virus kills the body, but uses the energy that is stored in the corpse to reanimate the brain. These 'zombies' still possess basic human functions, but lack intelligence or fine motor skills. They also lack the ability to communicate verbally. They function on the base needs of any 'living' creature: To feed. Because outbreaks of the T-virus usually have an epicentre, when someone uninfected enters this area, the creatures sense it and will try to devour the undiseased flesh, for the beings they're surrounded by have dead flesh, uninteresting to hungry creatures. Because brain activity is severely depleted in these 'zombified' specimens, the ability to feel and recognize pain is diminished. A 'zombie' could take a shotgun wound, and not feel it. The longer the corpse walks, the weaker and more inefficient it becomes. Freshly infected 'zombies' can still move with relative speed, but older ones begin to show the process of rigor mortis, and move very slowly. They transfer the T-virus to other beings through their bites, and the transfer of saliva into the wounds. Bites can be cured easily with antibiotics or antibiotical spray. The T-virus also cannot survive for long outside the body, and weakens tremendously under sunlight or air.
Because the T-virus is so unstable, the mutations to the human body cannot be predicted. Unlike the other Filoviridae, the T-virus affects more than just primates. It has been known to affect canines, plants, fish, arachnids and other such creatures as you have seen some of the examples in this short slide-show and I shall provide more information on the other creature mutations in due time. The T-virus shows more stability outside the primate genetic make-up, and works to make the animals more efficient hunters."
Isabelle felt sick,...after her long and complicated speech which she doubted many of the directors that were still looking in awe at the Tyrant would fully comprehend let alone acknowledge,...............she paused, and flicked the projector off,...she couldn't continue now,...she felt so wrong and awkward, having to promote this abomination,.....................
...............
*The directors began to clap*
...............
"That's all for today,...I shall continue this tomorrow,.....thankyou." She politely added, as the Directors ceased their applause,...one even lit up a cigar and began to instruct his secondary representative to get on the budget system and find some funds for Umbrella,.......
The lights in the room came on and Isabelle was now easily seen,...she looked quite young still,.....not a stereotypical researcher. No labcoat,...but a Umbrella nametag much like Alexanders style was on her shirt, still in civilian clothing though, it was like she didn't need to have such usual researcher attire on to be recognised in the workplace........or perhaps she just didn't want to be noticed as the Doctor she was?

Picking up her bag she hung it on her right shoulder and picked up some notes from the table,....as the Directors and representatives began to talk among themselves they seemed to leave Isabelle alone,....even after she delivered such a fine lecture.
She was about to go when a technician in a white labcoat entered the room,...the Directors and representatives took no notice and continued amongst themselves.
The technician approached Isabelle,...whispered something to her which was too low to hear as of the ramblings.............
......................................
Isabelle sighed,..took the two files from the technician and nodded, allowing the technician to go back out of the room.
She sighed and looked quite depressed,...looking around the room she caught eye of the tea and coffee section and approached it to make herself a quick cup of tea.

An American representative approached Alex with a warm smile.
"Woa,...what on Earth was that all about?" He snickered. "Nah, I'm just yanking ya chain, I'm Danny Jenkins, of Umbrella America. Can you believe that she's this so called Dr Meyer? I was expecting some kind of strict researcher with a monotone." Danny said,....just quietly enough for the ramblings of the other representatives to muffle what he was saying as he pointed over to Isabelle,...back turned at the refreshment table.
"I've been to many of these things,...and so I've heard a lot about the T-Virus but I've never known how it works,...I guess she'll explain it to us huh?" He continued.
Even though his accent made him seem rather misplaced and immature, Danny knew what he was talking about and also seemed to understand most of what Isabelle had said about the creatures,.....the T-Virus details may take a while to sink in through though.

Isabelle took a cup of black tea, in quite a large mup and picked up her notes and the files from the technician once again and approached the groupof babbling representatives.
"Um,...excuse me, gentlemen." She politely addressed them.
"I shall continue this lecture tomorrow at 9.00am,...breakfast will be served here aslong with refreshments, it shouldn't take long though however I suggest ou make sure nothing is scheduled for the duration. Thankyou for your time." She looked rather out of place yet,...strict and firm with her authority, and was quite calm with talking to them all.
Looking down at herwatch the time read - 7.00pm,.....it was quite late yet the files she had from the technician was more urgent than sleep.
She smiled to them all and then turned to leave,........they weren't really bothered about her in person just the work she could produce.
Rubbing her eyes as she left the room, the double doors closing behind her she approached the lift and pressed the button to activate it, sipping her tea whilst waiting,...........it would be a long night.

”Yeah, Dr. Mayer is sure different from how I imagined her.” Alex said, smiling friendly to Danny and offering his hand for a handshake. ”I’m Alexander Gaidarov of Umbrella Green, Russia. Just Alex for short.”

Out of the corner of his eye, Alex saw Isabelle leaving the room and mentally swore, for he was planning to speak with her after the lecture. But it wouldn’t do for Alex rush after her now – it was too much rushing and too much unwanted attention for Alex’s liking. And besides, Alex was already in the middle of conversation with Danny, and so, it wouldn’t be polite to rush off over the sudden.

Danny smiled back and shook Alex's hand.
"Nice to meet ya Alex, and likewise just call me Danny."
Letting go of his handshake, he looked over to what Alex was looking at and realised it was Dr Meyer, by the elevator.
"I was informed she was,.....khm,....unusual for a researcher, but atleast I won't be bored throughout these lectures. Still boggels me mind though,.....I guess some people just appear not as you expect huh?!"

”Yup.” Alex said, slightly nodding to Danny in agreement. ”Dr. Meyer sure surprised me. And her lecture seemed to have a huge success too.”

Danny smiled and shrugged.
"Her lectures ey, yup they sure do give some responses looking from todays end just now......Well I guess all I can say is - what do you expect from the new Alexia Ashford?! Well,.....atleast that's what our sub-director calls her."
"The Ashfords are pretty miffed that she's managed to solve some initial factors of which even their progidy couldn't do,.....she's very highly thought of here,......but only in mind like. They don't really care about their welfare,......which is why she looks so tired just now. I guess they've got some more work for her to do here,......ontop of normal research and these sessions of ours." Danny sounded rather caring for a second as though concerned about this factor.
"It's what drives them insane mostly." He whispered to Alex......"No human contact and continuous work,....it's what's happened before, but America doesn't seem to give a rats ass to be honest,...shame though,....we could really use her in Umbrella Red. *He laughed at himself reasling something and scratched his head* But I guess if she was in Umbrella Red we'd only end up screwing up another researcher ey,.....it's what we're like." He patted Alex on the arm jokingly. "I'm in the humanitarian division mainly,.....which is why I have such a concern for their welfare,....but I'm powerless really,....and when something goes wrong it's my fault, get a slap on the wrist then I'm told to be off searching for another possible researcher,......but Umbrella Blue seems to be disgusted by our bribes to get Miss Meyer,.....heh,....British ey?!" He winked and patted his arm again.

“I understand what it’s like.” Alex said in half-whisper, smiling to Danny sadly. “It’s a bit same with me, really. I was supposed to analyze projects in terms of financing, effectiveness, risks and such, but I ended being a representative most of the times. Just like now, “go there, return with a report.” Not that I understand much of what’s been said really, but I’m not supposed to; I’m just to write everything down for my boss, so that he could pass it further upwards… That’s Russian bureaucracy for you!”
