Lexus Grant had been living in New York for quite some time now, being used by the NYPD as a helper in many cases and training for the new cadets who were still quite green in terms of mental experience. He wasn't officially a police officer, but he was treated as such by the members he worked with.
Having no family it was easy for him to get heavily involved in his work, and this made his reputation very high indeed,.......so high infact he had been taken out of retirement to be used in the new office for Anti-Umbrella services.
New York was the first place to start this section as Umbrella could not expand on it's already giant territory thus no plants or factories were in New York,.....some official buildings were but it wasn't on a grand scale.
He has been informed that his new co-workers are to greet him at the NYPD headquaters, there they'll show him to the new facility in the main building where they will have their base of operations.
It was a small unti with 4 people in it,....and it wasn't especially credited yet,.......however Lexus was assigned especially by the chief of police.
The day starts with Lexus waking up,..................
(OOC - Please give an explanation of the place you are staying at, be it, house or an appartment. Then a detailing of your general morning and route to work,.....at the headquaters you'll be lead to your new section by your new co-workers. You are to meet them there at 9 o' clock.)

Lexus Grant woke up in his shabby,cockroach infested,
one bedroom Manhatan dump.Empty bottles of ''Jack Daniel's'' whiskey were spread all over the floor and half
smoked pall mall cigarette butt's were well...everywhere.
He got up from his couch and discovered he had quite a
headache.He made his way to the bathroom, popped two Tylenole(without water) and chewed them down.
He glanced at his watch (quarter past 8)''frag I'm gonna
be late''Then on second thought ''...frag with them They can wait for me.He filled his pocket flask full with whiskey
Grabbed his pall mall's and left without locking his door.
''I got nothing worth stealing anyway''

Lexus steped out of his three story ''residential''
Althought he was usually pesimistic,that morning he was happy of the short three block walk that seperated
him from the bus stop.
When he got there his pouncing head was to much to bare so he looked around to make sur no one was looking and chugged nearly half of his pocket flask he then put the flask away,Stuck a pall mall in the corner of his mouth lit it,sat and waited for the bus
It was nearly 8:45 when the bus stopped him a block from hq.He looked around again,no one,and chugged away half of his remaining half''Just to take the edge off''he thought.
He got to HQ and went in ...

Walking into the headquaters it was the usual scenary for him,....the intial waiting desks,....the morning drunks and layabouts causing havock,.......there was however something out of place,.....a woman standing with a few files in her hands,.....clutching them close looking rather upset about being in the front entrance,......she looked rather intelligent, but still had the air of an officer about her,......
She noticed Lexus walking in and walked over to him,..............................
(OOC - Sorry, I just had to say this but,.......we have a Lexus car, and everytime I write your characters name, I picture our car too. Beautiful thing it is.)

"Mr Grant? Mr Lexus Grant?" She said his name in such a way to assure them both,.....she wasn't exactly the one out of the team to be the greeting party, especially alone.
"I'm Mrs Harwood,...but call me Lisa, I'm the Data Analyst and technician in the group. Nice to meet you." She clutched the files still close to her with one arm allowing her right hand to be extended outwards to shake his hand.
She has long brown hair,.....and brown eyes to match,....the clothes she wore were rather out of place for an active officer, a plain white blouse and a long black skirt, some small court shoes aswell,......that must be what makes her look out of place,....there were slight creases long the shoulder lines of her blouse where a gun holster and support would be,.....so she was definately able as an officer, otherwise she wouldn't be in the force.

Lexus examined here from head to toe,shaking her hand with an unsure look to his face.He had never been at ease with women,truthfully they irritated him beyond belief, (Which is why he never married) The way that most of them seemed to always bother with how they looked,always being so picky about things and most of all the way they always seemed to want to mesure up to men (Those in the force anyway).But this one was somewhat diffrent,she did have feminin aspects but the way she looked at you suggested she wasn't fraging around.He looked at her with an amused sort of look and waited to see what she'd say next.

~I hope he's not like this all the time,....I can't stand him just staring.~ She thought before letting go of his hand,....smiling nevertheless waiting for his response.

Lisa smiled as the new member finally spoke up,...but frowned, as he mustn't have been listening to her fully.
"It's Mrs Harwood,...and besides we're going to be working together for quite some time so do please fell free to call me Lisa." She said before walking through the back doors near the entrance office desk,....through some corridors and into the back subsection devisions,.....the office that they finally entered was rather small.
There was 3 desks, one of which was surrounded by computer terminals and a laptop, with some files,.....the desk of a data analyst i.e. Lisa Harwood and sure enough on the desk was a photo,...including Lisa, a man about the same age as her, and a small cat,.....no children, but a pet cat instead.
The other desk was rather clean and unclutered by files and computers,.....just a few reports and also some field medical bags,......looking rather empty it was either the desk of a rookie, or a field medical staff.
The final dek was that of an obvious leader, full of photos of past victories and triumphs over certain serial killers and usual police hiests etc,........and sure enough on the seat of the desk sat the owner of such a environment,.....Lexus' new boss, and chief of the Anti-Umbrella devision.

The man at the chief's desk got up and walked over to shake Lexus' hand.
"Welcome aboard, it's good to have you here Lexus. I'm Chief Sutton, but call me Andrew!" He turned to his side as a young woman entered the room from the "darkroom" in the top left hand side of the room.
"Ahh,...this is our medical officer and photographer, Miss Jennifer Shingler." He seemed to be genuinely welcoming, but there was this air about him that made you reaslise he wouldn't joke about an important situation if any arose,.....he was in perfect control a true leader.

"Hiya, I'm Jenny, nice to meet you Lexus." She replied with a cheery smile. She had the rookies desk, and after beaming a smile to her new co-worker she went over and sat on her desk,...legs swinging for a couple of seconds,...before she snapped out of her childish quirk.

Lexus looked nervelessly around and then said ''Now I hope you'll excuse me, I'm feeling rather drowsy this morning I need a cofee and a full breakfast before i can be completly disposed, so if you'll excuse me, I'll see to it''
Truthfully he needed a drink,dealing with people had always made him uncomfertable and uneasy,he always looked for ways to end a conversation quickly or even avoid one,which is why most people found him cold
Now he would leave, find the nearest liquor store,and would come back with a mouth full of chewing gum,Then it would be less of a hassle beeing around these people
He hated to go out of his way like this for alcohol,for he was very cautiuos about hiding his drinking habit.Lexus didn't like the reproachfull look people gave you when they knew.Lexus turned his back to them and srarted making his way back out the building...

After nearlly walking out of the headquaters without being stopped Lexus could hear Jenny calling out to him, and suddenly before him she stopped in her tracks,....
".....Wait, Lexus,....it's your first day with us and ya want to leave already huh?!" She seemed genuinely displeased with his exit.
But she beamed another childish smile and said;
"If you want, I'll show you the diner across the street, we get some discounts there for being in the force,....*She whispers*......as we send people who are reporting a crime over there who are waiting to be seen if we're too busy."
She winked and then pointed the man at the front desk, who was heading the office.
"Orders from the top."
"Anyway,....I thought best to come running after ya to show a great place for some grub,.....plus Sutton was worried we'd scared ya off."
