Linus shook his head. "Nope I'm ready for this..." he nodded slowly, bouncing slightly in the chair to psych himself up.
He laughed loudly, "I made you nervous?" he grinned wickedly. "Little old moi?
"However did I do that?" he said feigning a look of mock innocence.

Helen pouted and blushed,...taking a deep breath she punched him lightly in the arm and then avoided eye-contact as her blush increased.
Starting the vehicle up she said:
"Yes,...little you did,...now lets get this mission started ey Linus?!"

Linus giggled slightly and nodded.
"Lets get this bad boy on the road." he grinned, belting up.

Helen started up the vehicle and set their next stage if this mission in motion.
Turning to exit out of the carpark and heading down the main road, the fork within the road approaching rather quickly,.....but she sped past and continued along the main road towards the next City.
After a few more minutes she slowed down slightly,.....and turned to her left, down an old subtrack.
She'll drive through an old area where campers would be able to enjoy the Arklay Mountains,....but now it's been deserted due to all of Umbrella's business and the T-Virus spills. The pathway was simply two beaten-in tyre marks in the ground,.....amazingly still devoid of vegetation,....most likely because of how popular the place was thus cars and bicycles were always driving along this way, and so was always being used - whatever season it was.
Through the tree-enclosed subtrack, they entered into the main grouds, lush greenfields,.....rather untaimed at the moment,.....due to no one using it anymore, continuing across the new field, Helen sped onwards and stopped before a slight drop in the dip of the hillside.

"It'll be bumpy, hang on." She warned Linus before speeding down the hillside, looking as though she was in control of the vehicle,.....but a smile crept on her face.
She was enjoying using the full potential of the jeep,.....much like a kid with a new toy.
The hillside was chock-full of trees and shrubs,....but odly,......there was little widlife around......
The branches scraping on the windows and odd bunch of leaves blocking the way was no match for the vehicle, and as suddenly as she had ventured this way,....it all ended as the trees opened out into the back area of the park in Raccoon City,.................
They were here.
...............
Helen waited for a moment,......
"My God,.....Linus,......it's so empty." She seemed rather upset by the scene,.....an empty playground, which seemed to be slightly damaged,.....a few cars still parked in the drive-ways of some of the suburban houses,...the odd front door open,..............but no life what so ever.
Frowning, she continued on.
~Get a hold of yourself,....this isn't the time to be shocked, you know what Umbrella is capeable off,....snap out of it woman.~ She quickly set her mind straight as she drove down the empty streets, picking up speed as she entered the main town area, screeching around the junction and towards the major roads of the City.

((Regina you know full well I don't mind I know how stressful these past few weeks have been for you ::hugs:: )) Linus looked upon the city in awe - it was... dead. There was no other real word for it, ruined cars, boarded windows, the odd litter floating by in the breeze. It was unreal, and the slightest bit worrying. Linus shivered slightly. " Yea...." was all he could say in reply to Helen, his stomach feeling slightly queezy, and not just from the rollercoaster like ride they had taken in the 4x4. He gripped the dashboard, slightly harder than was needed, swearing he could see something moving occasionally out of the corner of his eye, but shrugged it off as his overactive imagination because of the rumours. He sighed slightly and closed his eyes, running a hand through his hair, making sure it was tied back securely, psyching himself mentally for whatever lay ahead.

(OOC - Thankyou Aylix, yeah these past few weeks have been pretty awful,.....I'm so sorry for being a bother; I feel so guilty for dragging you to Hanley and back, and for being such a burden I should just keep everything to myself to avoid annoying people.
I hope you don't think too badly of me.)

Riding down the main roads in the City there was a view of the full desertion of the area, as the D-road arches upwards slightly over some minor junctions below,.......the City was so quiet,......but in the most eerie way possible.
Quickly moving on they entered the industrial zone of the City, Helen was taking them to a Umbrella office block there they could find out the best location for the information to be in.
"There are several laboratories here in Raccoon City, we don't know which one holds the information Trent wants. We'll need to get into the Umbrella office here which oversees all labs in this town,......probably more hopefully,.....which is my objective, to try and get some information about their original power here and where the next possible incident experiment may take place."
"You'll hack into the main computer and pull out the information on the laboratories here, finding the one with Dr William Birkin heading the project; then we'll move out to that location."
Helen smiled slightly trying to make Linus feel reasured about what they were about to do.
"I'll give you a weapon in a minute when I get ready,...the buildings here are quite damaged from press raiders and off course possible B.O.W's and also the Umbrella special forces using this place as a training ground. Do you have any questions?" She asked him.

(You know all too well that I didn't mind coming Hanley with you, I enjoyed it... and you know full well I am enjoying this RPG ::hugs:: So don't worry yourself ) Linus quickly tranced out in watching the desolate city pass them by, so much so he didn't really hear Helen's information. So much destruction... and possibly more of it on the way... How could anyone cause this much suffering and be ok with it? He snapped back as Helen asked if he had any questions, having dully taken in her talk. He felt more determined to take these ba$tards down... though how he would do it...? It would do no good to show Helen how nervous he was... keeping up appearances and all that. " When's breakfast?" he grinned, glancing at Helen for a second. He laughed slightly, nervousness obvious before he shook his head. " If we find the Umbrella special forces... are they likely to be friendly to us?" he asked... no relishing the prospect of possibly having humans to fight as well as monsters.

Helen smiled,....she had forgotten to say earlier about that notion.
"I was going to get some food from venders in the lobby of the hotel but decided against it when I knew I had some snack bars and some food in my bag,....I hope you don't mind I just wanted to get going fast. I'll have enough for breakfast and lunch, after that we have to get dinner when we go back,....we don't need to stay here any longer than necessary."
She smiled again.
"I hope that's ok with you?"
Frowning she continued. "Not to my knowledge,....the special forces only come here every now and then,.....if we do run into trouble, I'll be the first to know about it and deal with them. If they were here we'd have seen there copters by now along with the heavy weaponry being fired,....you know surface to air missiles and the like."
Helen felt nervous slightly herself,....but it was just the jitters that everyone gets before a mission,.....she just hoped that Linus trusted her.
The continued to speed through the centre of Raccoon City,.....getting ever closer to their destination.
(OOC - *Beccy giggles*
"we don't need to stay here any longer than necessary."
Sounds familure huh? It's like Leon S Kennedy from Resident Evil 2.
"we don't need to stay here any longer than necessary; lets split up, look for survivors, and get outta here."
He says when he meets up with Claire in the STARS office of the Raccoon Police Department station.
Jeezzz,.....I play that game wayyyy too much ne?)

Linus smiled. "Yea that sounds fine." he said simply. "Just hope we aren't here any longer than necessary..." he said trailing off and looking out of the window again.
"Are we there yet?" he grinned, giving her a sidelong glance.

Helen pouted at his last comment.
"We'll be there soon,.....are you always in a hurry?" She asked him, trying to make this worried feeling of hers not be shown.

Linus smiled nervously. "Only when I'm slightly nervous." he grinned shivering slightly, the early morning air still crisp.
"Does this thing have a heater? he asked looking on the dashboard.

Helen smiled apologetically.
"I'm sorry, here you go." Helen turned on the heating system of the jeep and continued driving along.
"I wish I could stop you from being slightly nervous,.....I guess I am too you know, but.....it's like a normal mission, everyone gets the jitters before one." She said in a caring tone.
