In order to further expand the Scions aspect of the Shadow World Universe, I'd like to run a test game to figure out what's missing from the system. It'll be a simple, short adventure in a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi world, and will be completely freeform. Refer to here for basic information on the Scions. Experienced roleplayers only, please.

Come on! There was so much support for this project before! What happened?

I'll play! But, I told you that already.
This isn't a long term commitment, we just need a few experienced roleplayers to help us run a playtest.

Heh, I think it would. I believe all EK is saying is that he doesn't want to have to teach anybody how to roleplay, he wants to focus on playing the game and working the kinks out.

Precisely. Not to mention someone who can actually get into the heads of the characters and give productive feedback as to their mentality (we are creating an entire race and culture, after all).
Anyway, it seems that this is all the interest there is for now. I'm inclined to either run this as an independent forum in the PBP area, so that we can eventually add other Shadow World games to it and perhaps even have them intertwine. Thoughts?

If you'd like, I'll set up a Shadow World PBMB section and we'll see what happens from there. You and Merkuri will be Mods for this forum. Let me know when you're ready.

Since there's been a shakeup in our player base due to recent events, I'm opening this game up to new players. If you're a newbie interested in playing, or someone who's currently in the game and is interested in continuing, please post here.

I found this site 2 days ago love it but can't find an active game thats not already really involved. I have been roleplaying for 20+ years but haven't played much of anything in the last 5. Took a look at the basics of your idea. I like it and could do something with the concept. Kinda thinking a animal angle, very in touch with nature, mostly senses and agility right now, could grow into much more. And no not a Wolverine type character, more of a mild lycanthorpy that lets him take on different animal abilities.

Sounds like a great idea. PM me your character and I'll add you to the game.

I found this site 2 days ago love it but can't find an active game thats not already really involved. I have been roleplaying for 20+ years but haven't played much of anything in the last 5. [To himself] Well, if he didn’t show up at the City Gates, must have teleported or something, I can just as well greet him in here… [/To himself]Greetings, Kariel, greetings and welcome into the Shadow of the Dragon! I am very happy to see a new face in here, especially such an experienced role-player as you obviously are! And I am equally happy to see you already joining a couple of online RPGs, although I am not certain if Tellyna still intends to DM her “Rose Dawn” online RPG or no… …But either way, EK is a wonderful DM, and I hope that his “Scions of Nature” online RPG isn’t going to die anytime soon (even though I am not playing it myself, as I have never really had time to get accustomed with the system). Just be sure not to listen to what EK may be saying about avoiding smileys at all costs, they are fun, ne? Anyway, if you are interested in joining more online RPGs, I can suggest you EK’s “Beyond the Circle – A journey across the Plane” (http://shadowdragons69.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=Beyond) online campaign. It has been started more or less recently, and I am sure EK would welcome such an experienced role-player as you obviously are. And if you will ever be willing to join an online RPG that has been around for quite some time now (to be more precise, slightly more then a year), I will gladly welcome you in my own “Oerth and Beyond” (http://shadowdragons69.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=Celene) online campaign. You don’t have to read all that has happened there during the year of role-playing, for your character won’t likely have a way to know all this. But as you will be playing, I, or possibly other PC(s), will supply you with somewhat brief information about the past events. This campaign was originally designed as a high-leveled one (around 15th – 18th character level), but I can work a character of any level into it, providing that it is not higher then 18th; but advancing in level as the game progresses is a possible and even very likely thing (providing that you’ll live long enough, which you’ll hopefully do). Since this online campaign is a freeform one for the most parts, character level isn’t of such importance in there as it is in hardcore RPGs. Also, in this online campaign of mine I offer a great variety of opportunities for the new players, including joining either for PCs’ side or for their opposition, or probably even for the side that is not yet involved in ongoing conflict, at least not directly (there are more then two sides in there, although the two of them are most visible – the powerful being known only as Demonic Wizard and the gray elves of the Faerie Kingdom of Celene).
