The Administrators should fix their automated double e-mails about imminent deletion of account with more than zero post... Anyway might as well write a few paragraphs.
Hello. This is my second created thread and 32nd post. When do I upgrade my status from peasant to something like vagabond ?
19 days from now I'll be unwrapping my Xmas presents, then I shall enjoy some delicious stuffed turkey and meat pies, with home-made applesauce and mashed potatoes on the side. Anyone else does it at midnight or do most people wait until the morning for the gifts and evening for the meal ?
Now I'm hungry...

hello there! laughing.......now you made me hungry too! *wonders if i'm in deletion of my account also* we wait until Christmas morn to open our gifts. I saw your recipe in the cooking thread and it looks yummy, I printed it out and am going to attempt to make it. I hope it turns out well. I'm not too good with crusts.

Oi Vey.....such worry warts.....the deletions are only for members who have zero post counts as of Jan 1. 2004. If you didn't want to be deleted, you were encouraged to post an intro. thread in City Gates to let us know you were alive and kicking.......so relax, will ya?

LWW: No problem. I felt like posting anything anyway.
RMW: About the meat pies I mentioned before, they are not the same as the tourtiere recipe I posted (as it's hard to cook both a turkey and a tourtiere in the same oven, plus that would make a lot of food to eat in the middle of the night). The tourtiere du Saguenay is more often made for New Year's Eve.
I should post a recipe for those meat pies as well (we call them "pate a la viande", the rest of the province doesn't), though they are basically a mix of ground pork a ground veal put inside a crust, made the size of muffins.
Edit:there's only one "n" in "mentioned" apparently.

It sounds really good and I think I shall make it for New Year's Eve. My family doesn't really do anything for New Year's, so maybe I can start a new tradition!

Glad to hear that RomanMoonWynd. By the way the crust recipe given on the page I posted is really easy to do and it's easy to roll as well. I use it to make all kinds of pies. Maybe I should put some of those in the cooking board as well, like my mom's sugar pie recipe, or the maple syrup pie... I'll try to post them tomorrow. I should go to bed now...
