Unbelievable, I can hardly believe how many car accidents happen in this city alone. Today I've done over 50 surgeries, I won't go into the details, but let me put it this way, the past 3 days of work, I could say i've done well over 400 surgeries. Insane I tell you. Just this day, I got one E.R. Call for Surgery that the damn fool got into a wreck and had a piece of his glutch shaft inbedded into his right shoulder. Don't ask me how he managed this. I found out about 5 minutes later that the crash got worst, with a little 8 year old girl who got into the wreck too, was sucking on a lolly-pop when it got shoved through the back of her throat, she's alive, in critical condition. Lucky for her, the lollypop missed her Cerebrial, so she won't be paralysed. Sometimes, my work is way to hard on me.

How sad Werlin, did the little girl make it?
Yes, there are days when you have to wonder, "why do I keep doing this?", or "why do I go on?", but that's the wonder of life then, going onwards, always learning, keeping an openmind, and seeing what new adventure will find you.
Running away from life's challenges don't really solve anything.
Chin up, it's a brand new day!!

Well most of the joy of being a Doctor is knowing that you could save someone's life. The little girl just came out of Crit Condition today. She's still in the hospital for some time, as having a lollypop go through the muscle and skin layers of the back of your throat is quite dangerous and painful, and really heals slowly. We Stitched the back of the neck, and burn the inside of the throat off, She can barely talk. Her fathers dead, but luckly her mother was not in the Car at the time. She seems to be content however, as we keep giving her Ice cream.

That is quite a site to see. I was watching Trauma life in the ER on TV and they had a little girl who had come in with a lolly pop shoved through the back of her throat and my little sister freaked out when she saw it..........not a pleasant thing to see a child in that kind of situation.

It is sad how stupid some people get when they get behind the wheel of a car. Right now we don't have all the normal traffic lights working which means that people are supposed to treat the intersections as a four way stop. On my 10 minute drive to work I saw nine different accidents because of people not paying attention... It's sad it really is...

Oh heck, when they rebuilt our main highway through Lancaster, Route 30, you would think that the main Architect was a ten year old child who drew on his father's drafts.....and the builders thought it was genius. Entrance ramps double as exit ramps, you have to cross over 3 lanes of traffic to get to your exit, while 2 lanes of traffic are trying to get on the main highway.....talk about accidents!!

Oh nothing compared to this. When I was in Washington D.C. I saw exit ramps with stop lights over them. Now really, this could work for a good thing. But not how they did it, they had the stop light right at the very end of the off-ramps into the freeway. Now how do they expect someone to pick up enough speed to merge with them forcing you to stop at the end off the off-ramp?

Chicago has a similar system. The light is about 100ft from the merge area and it caused a lot of problems initially. They only have them on during rush hour, so everyone is going 10 miles an hour anyway.
