How many different types of force users are there?

We always here about the jedi and the sith, but aren't there shaman/wizard types on some of the planets?

Yep, there are others.


The Nightsisters of Dathomir and the Ewok Shaman, Logrey (I think his name is), are force users. There are a ton more but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

There are at least 4 in the WEG STAR WARS D6 game's character templates.

• Jedi (duh)
• Ewok Shaman
• Tyia Adept
• Alien student of the Force

So there you go. There are many types.

OK there are also Sith, but they're not in the main set of templates.

technically there are two more, the first are Correllian Jedi (which, becuase theyre bloody Correllians, have to be different from everyone else). basically, theyre incredibly weak at TK, but have amazing abilties at energy absorption to do all sorts of fun tricks...

the others are a type of Jedi that have minor access to both sides of the force and weave lightsabers and Jedi armor made of cartosis ore. the rules were presented for both of these in an issue of Dungeon/Polyhedron. Sadly, i cannot recall the name off the top of my head. Both of these were covered and talked about in I, Jedi. There are also untrained adepts, but they have limited access to the force.

First off.. Logray was not a force user.. merely a medicine man to his tribe..

Secondly.. Not all Corellian's are weak in TK nor are they strong in Affect Mind or Absorb Dissapate.

A/D is a very rare ability.. few jedi have it.

Thirdly.. the Jedi you refer to with the Cortosis armour are the Jenasi (spelling may be off)

They are actually a sith tradition but follow a more jedi like code than the standard sith beleifs. They beleive themselves the true jedi, and that the primary jedi are the darksiders. They aren't "minor" as there were some masters among them. They just didn't have the level of ability as that of Luke or the Solo Kids.

Pretty much any of the sentient races can weild the force. Some races are rarer cases than others. but even it seems the Vong have some force ability.. or one imparticular at any rate..

There are beings out there many call wizards or witches, priests or holymen (women), tricksters and Charlatens,Jedi, Sith, Force Adepts (which most of the other catagories fall into) ect..
