here's what I did for it.
The kodok are from a tropical asteroid in Outer Rim Territories-Roon System. Despite its far distance, the asteroid is extremely hot due to a gas shield around the asteroid belt, which also allows for habitation. and comparatively primitive, even compared to the main planet of roon. The asteroids were for the most part habitable by human standards, despite a fairly high percentage of kryton in the atmosphere, and the kodok used primitive sails to take advantage of the air currents to get between asteroids
The Kodok themselves evolved from an insect creature that is not unlike a preying mantis, and had some limited small scale tribal society until contact. In fact, it was the inherrent paranoid nature of their culture that forced them to join the space race, for they did not trust each other with this new information.
If anything, space culture has opened them up to new opportunities and people. In fact the Kodak often get along better with other species then their own.
The Kobok are a species of insectoid humanoids that are found in the roon system. They are very rare, but often play as minions for people in position of power. They are reasonably loyal, but often have their own agenda, which is not always descernable to other species.
Physical description: The Kobok are a insectoid race with sharp stingers on his forearms and three orange compound eyes. The third eye was located in back of his head. The stingers on Gaff’s arms secreted a potent poison that would knock humanoids unconscious. Strangely, even the Kobok himself was susceptible to the poison’s effects. They average about 1.6 m tall. Their color ranges from light green to dark yellow.
Homeworld: Unknown at this time.
Language: Kobok speak a varient dialect that is somewhat similar to Bartokk in prounciation, but has no written form. They almost immediately take to basic to work in the larger community as a whole.
Examples of Names: unlike the Bartokk, the Kodok often have names, but are usually taken from the species they are most commonly associated with. For example, the Kobok name Gaff was a varient of the Name Dack.
Age in years: Child 01-08, Young Adult 09-15, Adult 16-35, Middle Age 36-60, Old 61-74, Venerable 75 +
Adventurers: Adventuring Kobok are usually scoundrels, fringers, scouts or soldiers and while intelligent, prefer to take a direct approach to life, and have few tech specialists or nobles. As of yet, there are no jedi or sith kobok soldiers, but that could one day change.
Kobok Species Traits: Ability Modifiers: +2 strength, -2 wis, -2 charisma. Medium Sized: As Medium sized creatures, Kobok have no special modifiers due to their size. Speed: Kobok base speed are 10 meters Third Eye: The Kobok have a third eye on the back of their head, which makes them extremely difficult to sneak up on and helps them to spot. Due to this, they do not lose dex bonus when flat footed, and gain +2 to spot. Arm Stingers: The Kobok's arm stingers contain a potent knockout poison. If a humanoid is stung and fails his save, he (or she) is knocked out. The save dc is 14. The Kobok can be affected by their own poison, but get a +2 to their save. Leaping: The Kobok gets a +2 to all jump checks. Additionally, the jumping distance is not limited to their height. Low Light Vision: Kobok can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight and similar conditions of poor illumination. they retain the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
