I would like your attention please. I've noticed that there is not a great difference in these types of games and a Play By Message Board (other than posting style). So, I'd like to make the following offer to all the DMs currently running the threads here. Would you rather have your own forum in the PBMB section of the boards. This would allow you the following : - Moderation of your board to better control your game
- Separate character thread for YOUR game only
- Keep brainstorm thread with your main game thread (no hunting for it among the myriad of others)
- Ability to request a password lock of your forum should you ever require such a thing
Play style shouldn't be affected by any of this. Would change current forum to a description/signup area to generate interest in the game (like the GM Seeking forum for the dice based RPs) These are my thoughts. I am not going to force them on anyone. I will allow any game with steady posters to choose this option right now or stay where it is. Please post your opinions and questions (or request to be moved) here and I will check back to see what you all think. Please know that I will move your current game thread and brainstorm thread for you after I make you your board. I will also grant the DM(s) Mod powers in the forum as soon as it is created.

I must say, that I find the idea of moving games into separated section very good, because of the reasons, which you have already listed. However, as "PBMB Forum Request" rules state, I need at last a few of my players to agree with moving game into separated section. So, when my "The Dark Times of Celene" game will get enough players, I am planing to make pool and allow my players to choose whether to remain in "Freeform/Open RPG Threads" section, or to move into separated section. I must also add, that if rules wouldn't require last a few of my players to agree with moving game into separated section, I would ask for separated section for my "The Dark Times of Celene" game since it started, but now, I guess, that I will have to wait with that.

Good Point BRO, that particular line no longer applys to the Forum Request board, since We're allowing the Freeform GMs access to their own board.

I like the idea of being able to keep the Brainstorm thread right with the rp thread itself.
Password option is good to have available, but I have often found that new people feel more comfortable if able to see what is going on in freeform. So I don't know if I would feel the need at this time.
Basically, this would be similiar to the set up over at Mass?

Basically instead of lumping all the games in one place, each game would get its own forum allowing characters to be posted to their games instead of jumbled together

Hello all. The move of this board changes nothing other than it's location. It just seemed more logical to have it in the Game Playing section than in the General Info section of the boards. (And with the new Info Box at the top of the homepage it's a bit easier to get to it. Just click on the Play By Post link)
