Zaen explains the dojo to Kamala. 'Most of the time we don't actually use our powers in the dojo, especially if they are potentially very dangerous ones like yours or mine. We just focus on controlling our bodies and learning self defence. Jax is a tough guy, and a strict disciplinarian. Noriko's nicer, but takes a secondary role in teaching.'
Seeing that she seems a little unsure of herslef, he adds, 'I'm not looking to pick on anyone. Here, we know we're all different because of the one thing we each have in common.' He extends his hand, 'come on in, and we could practice a bit. I'll show you some of the basics. No one needs to spar if they don't want to. But you're as young as the rest of us and fit, the'res no reason you shouldn't be mixing it up with the best of us after some practice at it.'
As Jax saw the blades emerge, he barked out a warning, 'Shade! You must learn to control yourself! I appreciate that it's part of your survival instinct, but there will be many times that you will engage in non lethal combat. I don't want the sort of accidents that type of power can cause happening in my dojo.'
Alex shrugs, 'hell i could just regenerate the damage, so long as it doesn't instantly kill me. But you're not that good yet, I hope. Or that bad.'
His patience seems to run out, and he rushes at Shade, still with his guard up, and leg extended.

Serge walked slowly down the hallway. This was his first day at the academy. Always moving on, never getting to stay in one place long enough to fit in. Of course, compared to most mutants, he could fit in just fine. By appearances, he was an average kid, a bit gangly, but nothing out of the ordinary. As long as he was the only mutant around there were no problems. But, if another one came near him, their powers would either surge or fail entirely, generally with only minor physical consequences, but usually enough of a show to make things difficult. He never had to fear these outbursts, they never seemed to do him any harm, but the other mutant involved generally didn’t like it very much. This is why he never stayed around too long. Here, at least, he hoped would be different. Maybe here he could learn to control it. As he walked down the hall, he saw two kids talking. He decided to stay back just in case.

Dax sat near the back of the dojo watching the other students. Well, sort of watching, anyway....
Dax was blind. It was obvious that he was a mutant from birth. He was born with a thin membrane covering his face, and his eyes had the milky white color of a cataract. His parents dumped him real quick, didn't want to raise a freak. He was taken in by a group of folks who raised him as one of their own, but it wasn't a family in the traditional sense of the word. They were all expert fighters, had an excellent knowledge of weapons and street lore, and were all low-level mutants. Didn't matter that Dax was blind, he learned to fight just as well as everyone else, mainly because once he hit puberty, his powers emerged.
Dax was probably one of the more powerful psychics around. Unlike most psis, his power wasn't telepathy or telekinesis (thankfully). Dax had a keenly honed ESP: clairvoyance, clairaudience, postcognition, limited precognition, and object reading. Made it real easy to gather info on the street or find a mark. Also made it pretty easy to ace school.
Dax didn't really want to be at Mutant High, but oh well. His "family" thought it was for the best that he try to learn to control his powers and fit in; he was smart, good-looking, athletic, and had a knack for languages. As long as he didn't take off his sunglasses, he could easily pass for a language arts teacher later on in life. Or he could get colored contacts and do whatever he wanted, and no one would even know he was blind...
Clad in his usual outfit of a tight-fitting tee, camouflage pants, combat boots and sunglasses, Dax went back to working in his own world... If either instructor wanted him, they'd come get him.

Zero sensed the sweep and flipped over it, but as he landed he used his momentum and launched himself at Nor. Small amounts of energy could be seen as he spun his body about to deliver a crescent kick aim for her chest.
~Got Ya!~ he thought while a grin spread across his face.

Shade grabbed at alex's leg and threw it up as high as she could hopeing that Alex would land on his butt or back either way it would give her enough time to center her self. Shade then backed up a few feet keeping her eyes on Alex "Sorry Jaxs won't happen again just a slight slip."

As Zero's crescent kick whips round, Noriko collapses. A naturally agile and very flexible acrobat she slid across on the mat and made for Zero's standing leg with her own two. It was a recumbent ankle throw, though he had never seen one so fast.
Unfortunately for Shade, Alex is far from the easiest guy to move, and just yanking up his leg isn't enough to topple him. He is surprised by the move, tough, which means at least that her head isn't grabbed in his counterattack.
Jax frowns, 'Shade, that's no way to take a leg! You've got to wait til he's off balance!'
Seeing her reteat, Alex takes the offensive with a right chop to the side of her head.
As Zaen talks with kamala, he feels his ESP faculty activating unbidden. He hurridly attempts to stifle it as the grils current thoughts push into his mind. With his mentally aroused state, it was easy to sense Serge nearby.
He sent him a telepathic message, 'Seeing as you're already within range, come up here or step out. It's creepy when you sneak up on people like that.'

Serge walks toward them, "Sorry about that. I'm Serge by the way, but you probably know that already. I didn't mean to be creepy. Can't be too careful though." He stops about 5 feet away from them and smiles nervously.

~Hmm late again...stupid books - Doubt i missed much tho hee hee hmm who are they?~
A girl of 17 wandered down the corridor she was about 5' 7", dressed in blue jeans and a blue t-shirt nothing special - the only thing was she didn't look all there.
Her skin looked sort of see through one moment and normal the next it was if her skin flickered. Her curly shoulder length brown hair was bouncing as she made her way, towards the group walking straight up to Serge. 'ello there i'm Lisa She smiled warmly. She stood feet away from Serge - She paused and glanced at her arm momentarily then looked at Serge Hee hee 'ello i'm quite sure we haven't met. Pleased to meet you. she winks at him then turns to Kamala and Zaen I'm sorry if i'm intruding She bows and smiles again But i felt the need to say hi She laughs then turns to Serge. Are you ok sweetie?

Serge turns and smiles nervously, "I think I am. My name is Serge." He rubs his neck and looks down at his feet then back up at Lisa. "Nice to meet you."

"Hello Lisa, ...I'm Kamala." She spoke to girl sheepishly but tried to come across as friendly.
"I'm quite new here too."
~Perhaps having something in common could spark conversation.~ Kamala thought.

Kamala smiled which seemed to suit her face, but she was obviously not as cheerful as she could be.]
"No you didn't miss much, it's just the atmosophere of the dojo I think." Kamala wasn't one for sports, it meant wearing loose short clothes. "Are you here to 'spar' or would you like to go somewhere else? I'm still quite new to the place but I know where the dining hall is."
