The horrible undead ooze: (and just a correction, Palai has not yet killed the ooze holding Nikkia)

Log
The remaining skeletons and ooze were destroyed. We escaped the battle with our lives, but it was touch and go at times. Fortunately, everyone fought bravely and no one was lost. Well everyone fought bravely but Captain Bobo and his cowardly crew.
My wall of fire started a jungle fire nearly killing us all. Fortunately it burned for an hour east so we are assured that most monsters in that direction have been eliminated for miles. We are also assured that it is extremely unlikely that Captain Bobo could get to the treasure before us due to the fire, the heat and the smoke. So the fire was not so bad after all.
We headed south and waited for the fire to pass. Now we will head back north and east toward the treasure. So far, we have been unable to locate Captain Bobo or his crew after they fled the scene of the battle. We are depending on Evelyn to keep the ship safe at the present time. Fortunately we set up the series of signals before we left the island's natural harbor. This could help us greatly since it is possible that Bobo is not only a coward but a traitor as well. Only time will tell.

Just because I'm not 100% sure, I'm going to say that it is currently Corday, the 9th of Hedrot, in the year 153 AV. Please make journal posts based on the Scarn calendar.

Journal
We are still on the island that Captain Bobo lead us too. He turned out to be a rogue and coward and supposedly has taken control of our ship at sea. We are now exploring the lair of a deceased necromancer to recover a magic item for him. Upon giving it to him, he vows to return us our ship but I do not trust him.
In fact, I plan to recover the item and kill Captain Bobo at the first opportunity. He has demostrated his evilness and deserves no mercy. Under no circumstances will I allow him to use the evil artifact we are seeking. For now, we merely pretend to be his dutiful servants and wait for our opportunity to turn the tables on him.
During our investigations of the lair, we have encountered numerous undead. From half man/half horse creatures, zombies, ghosts, skeletons, etc. It is depleting our resources and we have already had to leave once just to recouperate. I hope we survive long enough to end the evil plans of Captain Bobo once and for all.

Here is what you have explored so far of the tower: This should also make things go a little smoother next week.

Aria's Journal Entry:
After falling down the leg of the pants of time, I found myself on the third floor of one of three towers in a large structure. Our group proceeded to the third floor, which was a veritable treasure trove of arcanic information, albeit of the necromancy variety. I must come back and revisit these books later! There was a small door in the SE wall that led to a catwalk which led to what I must surmise is the main tower of this structure. The door resisted both force and lockpicking, though we shall try Turjan's spell of opening tomorrow. If that fails, I may try to take out a wall or two with a barrage of fireballs. It seems to me that if any intelligent being exists in the tower, they couldn't help but notice our presence after two days of unhindered activity! We investigated the rest of the floor, and Kelly used his god's power to turn almost a dozen shambling abominations into dust. We grew careless, they were so unchallenging! When Kelly's power had run out, we engaged a group of four of the abominations - I webbed them which kept them from advancing, and Palai launched a devestating attack on the first one to break free, cleaving it in half.
Still under the impression these were not challenging opponents, we pressed our attack, and Palai was attacked and engulfed by one of the monsters! Fearing for my friend's life, I fireballed the room, igniting the webs on the remaining monsters, and freeing (a slightly singed) Palai, whose corpse had been wounded by Turjan (using my personal wand of magic missiles, I'll have to make him one later!) who then made short work of the rest with Kelly's help. As much of our magical might had been expended, we retreated to outside the tower, where our Horse&Monkey duo agreed we'd earned a rest, after much jibbing. I'm a bit befuddled still from the warp, but I look forward to the challenge of clearing this necromancer's tower... and learning all I can of the arcane knowledge within!
