Today on Good morning America they shown Kerry is getting ruffled over questions about him in Cambodia. Republican funded veterans and Bush are attacking him.
Uh, no I do believe Just the swift boat veterans are saying Kerry is,,,,, oh I know liberal have a nice, warm and fuzzy, PC way of saying this,,,, Kerry is LYING.
To be more detailed the veterans that were with Kerry in the swift boats are attacking his version of the time in question.
But why would I bring this up,,,,,,,hmmmmm,,,,, since Kerry has made this his central theme in the campaign.

On good morning America, Kerry spits out "if George Bush wants to compare military records then I say bring iit on."
Yes I agree completely, since the liberal media has already put out 75 news stories on Bush. Lets bring out Kerry's record.

Let's look at Kerry past words on the subject of his military service, Since it is the central item in his campaign.
He was sent to Cambodia illegally by Nixon on Christman of 1968. The most quoted statement is from a Kerry floor speech of March 27, 1986
Kerry: I remember Christman of 1968, sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia, I remember what it was like to be shot at by the Vietnamese and the Khmer Rouge and Cambodians. And the Pressident of the United States telling the American people that I was not there, the troops were not in Cambodia. I have that memory which is seared,,,,,searded ,,,, in me.
He reiterated the story during a September 4 1997, Senate hearing:
I first was introduced to Cambodia when I spent Christmas Eve of 1968 in a river in Cambodia diring the Vietnam conflict, and I found it to be a rather remarkable and very beatiful country which had an allure to me, and to many others, which has been sistained through those years.
And he gave a more detailed if somewhat less attractive version in an article in the April 3, 1994, Providence Journal:
Christmas Eve I was up getting shot at somewhere near Cambodia. Stupid Vietnamese were celebraating Christmas by shooting tracers, fifty caliber, right up into the air, and the goddamned things were coming right over our head. That was a wild night. That was a night like right out of "Apocalypse Now" It was just surreal. Mortars going off. Tracers piercing the sky. People crazy. Flares.

Well Nixon wasn't in office untill Janurary of 1969. and the Khmer Rouge, (first how did Kerry ID the Khmer Rouge), They did not become a major fighting force until 1970. Nevertherless, Kerry's claim is understandable on an emotional level. There something romantic about claiming that one fought against on of the 20th century's most heinous figures and comparing yourself to a movie star in "Apocalypse Now."
(I have that memory seared,,,,seared ,,,,,in me.)

Again Gal, sources please. If you're going to quote people without sources, there's nothing to say that you aren't fabricating this story, just like WMD's in Iraq.
